    Hey folks! The Best Smart Phone Vote is currently still ongoing,
    but I know this is the one we've really all been waiting for, lol, so here it is!

    The Ice Cream Vote!​

    For those who don't know, this vote is part of a series of Ranked votes I'm setting up to test out just how alternative voting methods like Instant Runoff and Ranked Pairs stack up against your standard Plurality Vote. For more information on that, please feel free to check out these two discussion threads:

    So with that out of the way, let me mention that this vote is going to be set up just a little bit differently than the Smart Phone vote. Instead of posting a full pre-selected set of options, I'm asking you guys for nominations first for what you think is the best flavor of ice cream. You can nominate any flavor you want, and as many as you want, though this nomination phase will only last till the end of today (4/16), after which I'll assign letters to each of the nominated options and then the voting phase will begin, so unless your favorite flavors are already on the list, make sure to get those nominations in quick! I've given us a head-start by adding in the more standard ice cream flavors, so go nuts (and sprinkles) letting us know about the joys of the more unique and or exotic flavors out there. ^_^

    Once the voting phase begins, it will run until Friday (4/20).
    To participate in the vote, simply list out the letters of the options in your order of preference (once the voting phase begins).
    For example, you would write in your post,

    I haven't actually tried Pistachio or Black Licorice, but given what I know about Pistachios and Licorice they both sound delicious and I added them to my ranking in the order I'd like to try them. I figure they'd probably taste better than Pumpkin-spice, which isn't bad btw. Banana Split I feel to be a little bit overrated, but its not bad either. Really, it's hard to go wrong when you're talking ice cream.

    Fun thread, but it's hard to just say what is best just based on a flavor without being more specific.

    For instance, I picked banana split and specified Blue Bunny. Other brands don't do much for me. Another instance; vanilla. I love French vanilla from just about any brand, moreso than plain vanilla and definitely way more than vanilla bean, which kinda sucks IMO. And then with chocolate, I like almost any kind except Breyer's.

    Fun thread, though. Thanks for putting it up.

    Whoops! Yeah, you are right about the brands, they can make a difference.
    And I actually meant to include the brand when I included your suggestion but forgot.
    Luckily, I'm the only one who's voted so far (and the brand doesn't really change my vote)
    so I just went back and fixed it in the list.

    Anyways, glad you like the thread! Now I need to go out and get some different variants of vanilla ice cream so I can try 'em out side by side.

    Ice cream by definition has a silky smooth pure unblemished texture that melts on your taste buds. Flavors with chunks of anything should be disqualified. I move for the immediate disqualification of Better Pecan, Pistachio and Strawberry and should any of them win the nomination, I will retain legal council and pursue appropriate options . David Boies is a very good friend of mine.

    But lol! What in the Hemp Flavored Ice Cream is option S? I don't remember there being an option S.

    Lol, I can take your option S as a "write in" (though you should let us know what it is), but disqualify Strawberry Ice Cream? No way Jose. :p
    I submit that there is nothing in the rules against Ice Cream with chunks in it, and besides that,
    the only ones with standing to bring forth a suit here are the candidates.
    And I suspect, they are each way to chill for all that. ;)
