As inflation is still at a lofty 8.5% the American people are suffering under democrat rule. It is time to throw them out of office.

Will lefties still brag about such a tiny decline in inflation on will they finally see the light?

Democrat votes have consequences; pain for the regular folk is always one of those

Doesn't the breakdown of those poll results suggest that Americans in general are answering more on the basis of partisan politics than any real economic understanding or prediction? How else would there be a 30% difference between Democrats and Republicans in answering a simple factual question?

Which Democrats? President, Federal government, State government, local government? Who would you have replace them and what practical policies are these people offering to address the inflation problem? Note that these are honest questions. I'm after factual economic statements, not partisan political screeds.

Probably, just as "righties" will boast about small or perceived benefits when their preferred politicians are in office. Please demonstrate that you're better than all of these people.

If people expect to keep paying more, then you can rest assured that corporations will continue to raise their prices.

All this type of poll does is greenlight higher prices.

What ever happened to competition? If given a choice between two brands of a product of similar quality, most people would buy the cheaper one. That’s how Walmart make billions.

Corporatism (corportocracy) is what happened to competition.

You forget the producers are ALSO paying the higher prices and are forced to raise their prices to cover their cost. Inflation is a monetary problem at the government level not at the producer level.

Are you claiming you have no choice in products when you go to the store or buy a car or shop for a TV?

Oh let's see the cases of this illegal activity then. And when company A decides to make their products only last a year company B will make their's last two years for only 20% more and get all the business. See how the free market works, you think companies agree to such anti-competitive agreements. You ever worked in business competing against other companies and products or services?

it's not technically illegal, that is the issue - an example is sealing the battery on a cell phone - cell phones could last much much longer if you could easily replace the battery

    cloud is bringing more greed

    "Tesla Software-Locked a Customer's Battery Pack's 80-Mile Range, then Demanded $4,500 for Repair"

    https://www.itechpost.com/articles/...mers-battery-packs-80-mile-range-demanded.htm

why would Musk even have his developers develop a software lock to reduce the amount of your battery you can use by a 1\3? Seems like a weird ask of your developers if you care about your customers and the environment

it is so cheap to add things like heated seats now, they now want to add the seats to all cars sold, but change you a monthly fee to use them

oh and the killer, they want to use the DMCA to prevent you from fixing your car yourself, if you try, you're a criminal and can go to prison... is that really the world Republicans want?

it can be at all levels.

If the profits of the companies involved are increasing, then that additional profit is absolutely part of the inflation.
