Repeating baseless allegations without substantiation results in loss of credibility.

wouldn't that infer I had credibility to start with, which would then lend credibility to the topic I created and therefor negate your assumptions its not credible now after I state the same thing repeatedly... but here since you insist on more proof and more claims and more repetition... have a good read on who founded things and their religious underpinnings... this is a pretty good put together history and documentation of things... I hate citing religious websites, but in this case its needed...

Can you tell me Brad Pitt's religion? I haven't heard that he has one. Not that the man needs an organization to do what he does, but I understand he is still down in Haiti helping rebuild. Same with Bill Gates. I'm not sure he has a god.

So, just wondering. In your mind, how have you come to the conclusion that atheists have anything in common that would really bring
    them together in "organizations"?

There is no organization that does such great work from the atheist group. For if one is not judged, why help? Although I know they will be judged, they don't. They probably don't even know that satan does not like them either. For satan wants to be worshipped, he does not want people to say he does not exist, he wants to be God.

Atheism is a belief that nothing of a higher power exists. Or that life after death is merely the same as before they were born, non existent. Either way it is still a belief, therefore a religion.

I would ask you the same question ... in your mind, how have you managed to create a commonality among atheists that would bring them together in "organizations"? It's like saying, "All people with with teeth have to come together in organizations and do things as a group."

where in what I said did you get that

I said most theists and atheists help without feeling the need to push their beliefs on the victims... and when you read it, that is what you got?

    You made the following baseless allegations about atheists in this thread;

You were repeatedly asked to provide links to prove your baseless allegations about atheists doing what you claim.

You haven't provided any substantiation whatsoever to back up your drivel.

Either post links proving all of the above or admit that you are making up utter nonsense about atheists.

I cited a link, have you failed to read it because it doesn't support your narrative?

    http://christianheritagefellowship.com/the-christian-origin-of-the-red-cross/

there, you may re-read it again since you seem to have difficulty... this is just like all the people who tell me the YMCA isn't religious, then I ask them what the C stands for in the name... and they attempt to convince me its still not religious or its not anymore or ever will be again... I just don't get why people deny the past, the present, and the very likely future of such organizations... instead of attempting to neuter their beliefs because they find it offensive someone uses religion to help people... why is that so bad...

P.S. you could also make a trip to Geneva and visit the red cross museum, I have, its EXTREMELY religious... especially the marble inlays and statues demonstrating the religious underpinning and tone throughout its history... now to its neutered state of "nothing'ism" in an attempt to appease the politically correct crowd...

What you posted were attacks on atheists with absolutely no basis whatsoever.

You were provided with ample opportunity to prove that there was some basis for those spurious attacks on atheists and can't because what your attacks on atheists are untrue.

In essence this entire thread is nothing more than a disingenous attempt to insult an entire group of individuals by libeling atheists without any factual basis whatsoever.

so you're still refusing to acknowledge and read the proof you JUST got done demanding, and are attempting to spin and deflect the truth because suddenly you don't like that I provided that proof? perhaps sit down, read what you wanted, plan a trip to geneva to experience what I have first hand, and then tell me its not religious...

Your website has a religious bias. The official Red Cross website doesn't.

I never said shut them down, I support them if they have the exact same standards of disclosure as a secular charity would have to have so people donating know where their money is going and how its used. And religious worship centers not be considered a charity itself just parts which do community charity to the public at large get that benefit under the same disclosure rules. I don't consider a church, mosque or temple anything special it promotes religion which is banned by the 1st Amendment if you give them money its to support the message and tax breaks is a government benefit to the spreading of a religion.

But the government at all levels should be expected to meet disaster relief needs why didn't these flooded towns stockpile food and water for their people and the state not have needed preparations it shouldn't all be on the Federal government.

see this is exactly why I hate citing religious websites as sources, because people on the left always object and reject them as nonsense, despite it all being factually correct... you once again confirm exactly why I feel the way I do... and once again why I strive to protect religious rights of others despite myself not believing in a god... freedom made this country great, and slowly we're erasing freedoms to appease those who object to others who think a different way... disgusting...

    You're right.

Some day, a Christian will be elected to political office - maybe even one day President! I know, I know ... it sounds crazy, but
one day Christians WILL enjoy the freedoms that made this country great.

I'm sorry. But every time I hear about the great plight the religious have to endure in this country, I just can't take any further discussion seriously.

I speak for nobody but myself... despite the dozen different stereotypes I've been labeled in this thread... however when I say atheist, I am not referring to all of them, thats often the confusion people instantly assign when you mention any descriptive word for someone... they assume you mean them all... I clearly indicted in the beginning I was speaking of the ones who demand religious organizations be shut down because they object to them preaching or practicing religion at any level in their efforts to assist others... so I narrowly defined a sub-set within that term, clearly I am in that group myself, yet here I am defending religious rights, because I understand the value and comprehend the ripple effect if this type of thinking is allowed to silence one form of speech, it will soon encompass us all and we'll all be silenced...

just like the guy I was responding to in the message you quoted me on, he now refuses to acknowledge the very proof he demanded... simply because he found other proof that fits his agenda, it now nullifies and extinguishes mine simply because he doesn't want to accept it... despite it all being factually correct and accurate, he cites the watered down version of history on the red cross website, that as I indicated in previous postings, has slowly expunged religion from its core foundation in an attempt to appease the politically correct culture invading it and extinguishing its past... yet factually, both websites are accurate, one just includes ALL the details, while one left some critical details out that are very important to the foundation and growth of the organization...

its sad when people don't think past the history books written, because history books are only written by the winners of conflict, not the losers who often paint a very different story sometimes... and as we've seen from many historical events, its truly amazing what gets left out or modified in school text books taught to children...

you seem to want to make this country a theocracy.... religious freedom is for the people, not for the government to push religion on the people

atheism is as much a right as theism....

the one religion the government prevents my race from practicing is the peyote religion... that imo is unconstitutional

stop attempting to trivialize things you clearly can no longer defend, and can only rant and rage about because you can't support your position with facts so all you have is to demonize, belittle, and mock something, rather than suggest and support your ideas with clear and rational thinking... I'm not and have not cited a "war on religion" in this thread, not once... I cited a clear and documented case that atheist have in fact attempted to dismantle religious organizations and have none to replace them with... I'm clearly taking the free speech and right to be any kind of charity they desire to be within the guidelines of the laws of this nation... just because you dislike that I proved there is clearly a group of people who dislike them and wish they would disappear, does not negate the fact they exist or have taken the actions they have...

you're more than free to donate or participate with any charity you want, or don't want to... but you should extend that same liberty and freedom to them as well... and you should stand up and demand that right be upheld for all americans and organizations... because once one is silenced, it won't be long before another and another and another...

where did I say I want it to be a theocracy... I never did... in fact that would go against me being an atheist... however I recognize the valuable work that some religious organizations do every single day across this country, and I despise those who want to interfere and step on their rights to do that work how they see fit... if they want to hand out pamphlets so be it, if they want to remain neutral so be it... but I simply want them to have the right to do what it is THEY want to do, not what I think they should... because after all, if what I wanted was rule of law, many of you would surely dislike my choices to ban alcohol among many other things, heck even the christians would be upset at that come time for their jesus crackers and juice... but thankfully in this country, currently, one voice has the right to say "NO" to another...

so please stop trying to inject words into my mouth, or claims I want a religious ruled country... I do not... but I respect their rights to freely act upon their religion...

    Disingenuous pablum!

You made no such distinctions in your prior posts whatsoever.

Instead you have been using the origins of the red cross, an organization I happen to belong to, as a blunt instrument to attack all atheists.

Your agenda is patently clear and no, I don't believe you when you claim to be an atheist. Atheists rely upon facts, not innuendo and insinuation. Atheists are willing to substantiate what they post whereas you refuse to provide even a single link to back up your fallacious allegations against atheists.

sorry, atheists have not dismantled religious organizations, if Christians stop believing their myths, it's on them, not atheists

you say your an atheists, where you ever a believer in God?

who is saying people can't donate to any charity they want, well accept those that support terrorism?

what should not happen is "faith based initiatives" funded by the government

    http://rationalrevolution.net/articles/history_of_the_separation_of_chu.htm

"When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that its professors are obliged to call for help of the civil power, 'tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one.
    - Benjamin Franklin: in letter to Richard Price, October 9, 1780"

if one wants to set up teepees in these areas for people to stay in and introduce the people to the peyote religion, should that be allowed, I say yes, how about you?

I provided a link, you rejected it because you said its biased religious garbage, paraphrasing... and your claims I never made clear distinctions in my posting means you never read all my postings from the start where I did make clear distinctions... just because you failed to comprehend or acknowledge them is not my fault, that is yours alone... and for you to make such stereotypes about atheist itself is disingenuous and misleading as there are COUNTLESS atheist on this very website who buck every trend you just put forward about them... so your own assertions and claims are baseless and warrantless and my proof is this very website demonstrating that... but to steal your tactic, "prove with a link atheist always cite facts and back up their claims"... you see how silly that sounds, thats exactly how you sound right now...

    Wait.

You say, "...I'm not and have not cited a "war on religion" in this thread, not once ...

    Then.

You say, " ... atheists have in fact attempted to dismantle religious organizations ..."

    OK. Next.
