Cohen pleaded guilty to a number of felonies. He said that he committed at least on of them with the full knowledge of, and under the direction of, Trump. That was a campaign finance violation. Trump directed Cohen to commit a felony for the purpose of burying a story - for the purpose of enhancing his chance of being elected president.

That's pretty bad. That is as bad as what Nixon did.

Then why did he bill his campaign to use his properties?

I hope that the Dems in control of the House do not decide to impeach because of this pay off the ho deal. The GOP did it with the Clinton lying and blow job and it did not work out well for them. If they try to impeach Trump for a chickenshit deal like this, it will definitely backfire.

They need a hell of a lot more than this to impeach in my opinion. If after Mueller turns in his report, this is the best they got, maybe he should be fined for campaign violations but definitely not impeached.

How did it not work out for the GOP. Bush won and became President, and the GOP had a majority in the Senate AND House for most of his presidency....am I missing something here?

Im sure Democrats would take that "loss" of having the Presidency and control of Congress

After the lame attempt to remove Clinton, the GOP actually lost a bunch of seats in the house in the mid terms of ‘98. Look it up. If the Democrats try to kick Trump out for paying women to clam up, it will help him in 2020 if he runs.

Why? Trump used his own money, nothing illegal. Clinton used his power as governor and then as president to keep women quiet even in the form of threats and the Democrats said that was OK.

    Yeah,
Right now he is just an unindicted co-conspirator. Probably will remain that way for a while.

Felonies in a federal court and a federal grand jury are "lame"?

Unfortunately, Trump supporters do not care; they will follow Trump's play book. First, they will deny that he ever did this. If evidence comes out that he did, they will claim that he actually did not break any laws. If you present evidence of the laws, they will claim it is fake news or deflect to what some Democrat did. This will repeat over and over again. Trump has trained them well.

I am with you on this one. I am not in favor of making a big deal out of a guy chasing some strange tail or paying them to clam up then lying about it. Neither Clinton nor Trump should be dragged through the mud for this type of deal.

Because they are commercial properties which there is a charge to use so any rooms used for government use like Secret Service or staff is billable to the government. You think the government can just confiscate the use of the property?

    No kidding.

There are a Hundred Other Things (far more impactful) that Trump needs to be "dragged" over.

It's not a felony to pay someone not to say bad things about you and not a campaign violation if you use your own money to do it.

He might have gotten away with it, but they got to cute trying to hide it so there are witnesses to tie it to a coverup because of the campaign. Why do you think Trump's buddies ask for and got immunity to testify against him?

Blow job Federal court and the suit was brought about and funded by a rotten bunch of GOP operatives trying to take Clinton down. It was a really chickenshit deal just like this Stormy and what’s her name deal right now. I am against both of them, however you no doubt jumped for joy when Clinton got caught up in that bullshit trap and now you are crying like a little girl when the same type of bullshit deal is being hatched against a Republican. You are in every instance a blind partisan hypocrite as a result of your early indoctrination into the scumbag crybaby GOP.

Well that as not what Clinton was "dragged" into anything about. Had he merely been having a affair meeting up with his girlfriend down at Greg Norman's house on his golf trips it would have been a personal scandal and no more. But starting with Gennifer Flowers his affairs involved abuse of power, harassment and assault and then lying in a federal court and a federal grand jury suborning perjury and false statements (remember the Flowers tapes were about Clinton plotting with her to make false statements to state investigators). Trump ain't even close to any of that.

I guess you, as a former Vice President Of the Alabama Junior Republucans know way more than Cohens lawyers who told him to plead guilty, the prosecutor who agreed with the guilty plea and the judge who accepted the plea. What the hell do those guys know? What junior Republican club did they head up. This is an outrage I tell ya!

Forced quartering was one real good reason for fighting a war against England.

No it was brought about by a former state employee whom Clinton's former state trooper body guard had made false public statements about. She sued him and Clinton in court to clear her name and expose the sexual harassment and sexual assault to which she was subjected, that it was not some consensual act. Then when he was compelled to give testimony about other women over which he had employment or other power who he had tried to get sexual favosr and trade special treatment and rewards for that sex, under a law HE signed into effect, he committed multiple felonies in the federal court and the federal grand jury to try and cover it up.

Trump has done nothing even close.
