Not really speculative to understand basic human psychology. If all you hear everyday is that something is bad you’re bound to believe it eventually. There’s quite a bit of research you know? Like kids who are told they’re stupid or lazy. They develop bad self esteem or believe it. This is exactly the same thing.

I feel quite sorry for you if you think the media doesn’t play a vital role in how we perceive what’s around us. There is research how much negative news the MSM pumps out especially about Trump. If you think that doesn’t sway opinion, you need to study up.

And I’ll remind you again. The extra votes were isolated to heavily Leftist counties. If it was wide spread, Trump would not have won the EC so conclusively.

 

I completely agree with this, which is why We should demand honesty and integrity from both our government and media organizations. They both need to be held to account.

trump has worked hard to garner the publicity he receives. I remember how Obama was judged especially on the debt, personal transparency and foreign relations (including by myself) and then I see what trump is not only let away with but actively applauded by his base... it’s disturbing.
The hypocrisy is astounding.

I don’t know if it was vital, it has already been proven that foreign interference occurred so it could have helped him — I haven’t read into it enough to see causality one way or the other. I do think that its is alarming that our intelligence agencies are saying that is is already occurring in our 2020 elections and nothing is being done. (The smiles are childish btw)

Those people are just as relevant as any other American.

Of the 5 vacancies, 3 are R vacancies, 2 are D vacancies.
Of the two D vacancies, 1 is because of death while in office, the other is a resignation due to a fake sex scandal.
Of the 3 R vacancies, 1 is due to a resignation because the dude wanting to be a screaming head on TV instead of actually working in the HOR. The other two are dudes who have both been found guilty of finance campaign fraud (NY-27, CA-50). One is in jail, the other is on his way to jail. And a side-fact that will surprise absolutely no one: both of those dudes were the first two REPS to endorse Trump in 2016, because criminal knows criminal, you know.

In the 2020 generic congressional vote, it's a composite of D +7 to D+8, exactly where it was two years ago.

Also, in every single one of the 42 D pick-ups from 2018*, the current D incumbent has *vastly* outraised his or her potential opponents. *There were actually 43, but Katie Hill resigned in CA-25.

Also, in the 19 seats that the GOP just barely held in 2018, circa 14 Ds who were on the ballot 2 years ago are running again (for instance, Gina Ortez in TX-23), and their warchests absolutely dwarf their Republican counterparts.
