It really doesn't matter who is on the SCOTUS, the replacements will be either Catholics or Jews.

But since the Repubs mentioned that they are willing to keep vacancies open for years the Dems should now take them up on it. It'll be 8 years before the Dems get back in the White House so by that time the Court might be down to one person.

Manchin needs to jump parties and join the GOP

Mitch and Paul had best listen to the people. Repeal Obamacare, repeal Dodd/Frank, build that wall

For all you Hillary supporters out there you should dab your tears and be thankful she didn't get to appoint 2 or maybe 4 Supreme Court justices. You don't really want a court that ignores the Constitution and the legitimate laws passed by Congress. Arbitrary decisions by an appointed for life judiciary is as bad as any other abuse of power.

It's amusing to see how many people on here have forgotten about that whole advice and consent thing. Trump isn't going to be able to appoint an Alex Jones type person to the supreme court. Every piece of obstructionist tact the right was ok with for Obama's entire presidency has been shown to be a legitimate strategy. Thanks for the road map.

Separation of powers exists for just this scenario.

As a Republican I don't want Trump to nominate an Alex Jones type. As far as the obstructionist thing it's been in the Dem/Alinsky playbook forever. Remember history didn't start the day you were born.

It was clearly an exaggeration to show that he cannot simply pick some crazy guy off the street.

I don't know about the wall, an actual brick and motar wall, but I'm more than with you otherwise.
In the first 100 days Trump promises to cut off funding to sanctuary cities, repeal Obama Care and all Obama executive orders and all sorts of other good and useful reforms, like stopping payment to UN Global Warming funds and putting the money to better use.

This is like a dream come true and the fruits that leftists will receive for their decades of duplicitous behavior are sweet indeed.

Hopefully 1 or 2 more Justice seats become available at the SCOTUS so the Constitution can remain protected for more than just a few years.

He has a list already. I studied some of them, but do not know the history of most of them. But finding another Scalia will be next to impossible. Just remember how the Chief Justice has voted on many big government cases.

He needs to counter Kagen and Sotomayor with a young constitutionalist. Ted Cruz would cause a freaking panic.......
