    Looks like the flirtation with Newtie over with;

    Don't agree with much of what Ron Paul says, but at least he's a better human being than Newt Gingrich.

    I find it comical when Ron Paul is the most sane and rational GOP candidate.

    I think the GOP would have a much better chance with Paul. Newtlepoodles is about as likely to be elected as a chicken taco.

    I don't think Paul is a FOTM candidate. He always has a strong base out there that is almost fanatical for him and he is a big draw from those who are leaving the Democratic side of the fence and see him as someone who is liberal enough and different from the rest of the GOP side to vote for. I have seriously appreciated his voice in these debates, when they let him speak, and he I'm honestly up in the air whether I want him or Romney.

    Also I know a TON of people who are switching to Republican to vote for Paul and he has a big movement among the youth and military.

    Newt Gingrich is a Bush all over again. How even conservatives could like that I idea is baffling.

    Not to mention he's a fear mongering religious nutjob.
    “I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time [my grandchildren are] my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American.” [Address to Cornerstone Church in Texas, March 2011]

    Newt was never a sustainable candidate in the first place, thank god. He has way to much baggage. As much as I agree with Ron Paul on a range of issues, I don't think he has much of a chance either, since it's kinda hard to fend off all the knives aimed at his back from his own party, while facing the democratic machine.

    In the end, I think Romney will end up the the GOP candidate to face President Obama, which is a little less worse than voting for Newt Gingrich.
