Oh that is a wonderful question. 10

I guess 4 by the Democrats.

Ten investigations were conducted into the 2012 Benghazi attack, six of these by Republican-controlled House committees. Problems were identified with security measures at the Benghazi facilities, due to poor decisions made by employees of the State Department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security, and specifically its director Eric Boswell, who resigned under pressure in December 2012.[1] Despite numerous allegations against Obama administration officials of scandal, cover-up and lying regarding the Benghazi attack and its aftermath, none of the ten investigations found any evidence to support those allegations.[2][3][4][5]

Reminds me of the Democrat witch hunts that came up dry about Trump teaming up with the russians.

    Now you.

Wait I want the truth to come out.

How many against Trump have proven Trump did anything wrong.

    Zero

How many tries. 17 And you think Hillary got hassled?

    https://www.wired.com/story/mueller-investigation-trump-russia-complete-guide/..

After three weeks of back-to-back-to-back-to-back bombshells by federal prosecutors and special counsel Robert Mueller, it’s increasingly clear that, as 2018 winds down, Donald Trump faces a legal assault unlike anything previously seen by any president—at least 17 distinct court cases stemming from at least seven different sets of prosecutors and investigators. (That total does not count any congressional inquiries, nor does it include any other inquiries into other administration officials unrelated to Russia.)

    Starting list.

    Investigations by the Special Counsel
    1. The Russian Government’s Election Attack:The special counsel moved aggressively to outline and charge the Russian government’s core attack on the 2016 election, which included both active cyber intrusions and data theft by the military intelligence unit GRU and the GRU’s attempted attacks on the US voting system, as well as online information influence operations by the Internet Research Agency, known by the moniker “Project Lakhta.”

You think Dems were upset to see Trump leave the party ? That’s like having an foolish abrasive uncle stop coming to family gatherings.

And no metal of freedom was given to Hillary and Barrack for cutting embassy attacks from 13 down to 1 ? Shameful.

Whot? I mean really? How did Obama miss awarding himself those awards. The balance of my post has met your approval based on you only claiming the reduction you claim.

What does this have to do with political investigations?

For the record, the "Behghazi investigations" are a big part of why I think Congress needs to lose its investigative functions. They arent capable of doing it.

Of course they are. That is their job. They represent the people and have investigators and attorneys to work with.

I suppose this is just a recent occurance of incompetence ? Nixon doesn’t count ? Do you want to through away impeachment too ?

And there you have it. I'm guessing you will never bring up Benghazi, the deep state and Hillary ever again in connection with these investigations.

You make my point for me. The only meaningful congressional investigation was from nearly 50 years ago. Are you going to claim there is the same quality of people in Congress now as there was then? I wouldnt.

As for impeachment, I'm torn on the way its handled. I would like to see a change and take it out on Congress' hands. Maybe allow the House to assemble a blind panel of federal judges to approve charges, much like an indictment. Then the case is heard in front of the SCOTUS.

Trump has zoomed far ahead of all the competition in the race to the top of the all time worst list. Not even close.

    Exactly.

The families of Andrew Johnson and James Buchanan are very happy that Trump has (undeniably) set a new standard as The WORST Ever.

Only an elected body should hold another accountable by impeachment. Impeachment IS and was meant to be political.

Quality of people ? You need investigation of admistration appointees, especially repugnants one’s.
Look at the republican appointees in the admistration. They lead any group in corruption and incompetence. Administrative republican appointees are the most inept group to ever be part of governance. Dem congress looks like world beaters compared to them.

You need a congress to hold this criminal element at bay. Look at the group in there now. The collective IQ is embarrassingly low...including the president. They could set a record for criminal indictments.

Except Congress is just as corrupt. Remember, these are the same people with a sexual assault slush fund.

You can make this political all you want, but you are here saying that all of the dozens of Benghazi investigations are suddenly legitimate and important.

My opinion hasnt changed. Congress is are too corrupt and inept to actually conduct an investigation into anything.

Where are the numbers to back it up ?

You’re making a false equivalence . Your examples are false investigations by republicans. How does that support your false claim that all congress is equally bad.

You have a Republican Party that supports Russian interference and voter suppression of any kind to maintain power with a minority rule. It’s a party that minimizes female participation, promotes recessions and minimizes miniroity involvement and Denies science. It starts out corrupt.

You’re’s is the typical....”who gives a s.h.i.t, all Govt. Is bad.” In reality, the Republicans malfeasance far outnumbers the other side dramatically. you want the SC invoulved when it’s the republican appointees that have the most blemishes sexual assault record and a history of party supporting fund raising efforts. Your barking up the wrong tree.

Oh so only GOP investigations are false and the dems are bastions of integrity?

Wasnt it Nadler that said many times during the Mueller investigation that he had proof that Trump colluded with Russia? So what happened to that proof?

Finally the truth is out. Just look at the chart. Historically true that republicans are far more corrupt. Either that, or republicans are far more inept by investigation Hillary for 6 years and finding NOTHING. YOUR problem is with repugnant, not congress.

    My problem is with who?

Again, you make my point for me. They spent 6 years on useless investigations. The most significant thing they found in that time was that the White House changed a press release to say that it was a random protest because of a YouTube video. Obama knew it was a terror attack, but because it was so close to the election, they chose to lie and blame a video.
