I'm looking forward to Australia v Fiji more.
If it's as good as Fiji v Wales was it'll be great. I just love the way Fiji play. They will run the ball from anywhere.

34-12, with a try off Joe Marler's head. Probably the best thing his head has ever done.
What a rotten match, replete with errors on both sides.

Why England waited until the final quarter to run the ball is baffling. They look far more dangerous with ball in hand than when they kick even with all the fumbles.
I'd like to see Marcus Smith get more time on the pitch too.

Fantastic match IRL v RSA, huge intensity and physicality. I hope Engand don't have to play them....

Best game yet. I think the eventual winner will be one of these two.
I can't see France staying with either.

Well that was pretty awful. We only won because of that disallowed Samoa try, worst decision I've ever seen. Fiji must be licking their lips.

Yes, a really poor display. I think Fiji were already favourites to beat England, this just enforces that.
We were gifted with the easiest draw in the group stages and a QF against a tiny island nation of 100k population meanwhile Ireland have to play the All Blacks and SA meet France in the QFs.
If Scotland were in our position they could easily have made the semis rather than going out in the group stage.
Wales have it easy too meeting the winners of Japan v Argentina.
The seeding is a disgrace. The top 4 teams all in the same half of the draw.
I'm still predicting Ireland to beat the Boks in the final.

I think you're spot on, except I'm going take the Boks ahead of Ireland, 'cos they would have won the pool match with better kicking.

It will be a nail biter and a worthy final so long as neither side slips up on their way.
France could yet beat SA in the QF and throw a spanner in the works.

Great game between Japan and Argentina. A straight knockout game with the winner going forward and the loser going home.
Sad to see Japan's tournament is over but Argentina will ensure Wales have to bring their A game to the QF.

Even if the refs got the call right on the try there was this head scratcher:

I don't know how Farrell got away with that lallygagging - and he did that not once but twice. I don't know where his head was yesterday, but it certainly wasn't in the game...

    Fiji v Portugal coming up.
I'm more excited to see them play than England.
Should get to stretch their legs a bit tonight.

    Yes I'm pleased for Portugal.
Fijis worst performance so far and it does give me hope that England can win.

Fiji were undisciplined. Far too many penalties, handling errors and lost possession in the breakdown.
A lack of patience with too many attempted offloads when they should have gone to ground and kept the ball. The way they play can be exciting when it goes right but you are not going to win against the top teams playing a rugby sevens style running game.

OK, so Wales-Argentina, Ireland-New Zealand, England-Fiji, and France-South Africa. I shall root for France.

I don't think they are going to get past SA on Sunday but it's going to be a good game.
I predict Wales, England and Ireland will join SA in the semis.
None of these games are a foregone conclusion though.

Oh, well, I'm 0-1 already. Well played Argentina, if they'd played like that in the first match we would have lost. Good luck to them.
