You know that phrase is from the movie "The Ten Commandments" ... quoting Pharaoh?

What has changed was back channel discussion between Russia and the US. "If you don't do this, we won't do that." An issue is Russia is trying to land lock Ukraine, and we could supply mines and torpedoes, not to mention allowing a guerilla war to go one eternally, killing Russians for sport. Also, the US does not label the Wagner group (Putin's private mercenary corps) as a " terrorist group". Even though they are Russian, the are dirty work for hire, so they can work for anyone.

No, I don't! That's why I wonder why he went into the confrontation. He could have figured that at the least the five eyes countries would go against him = USA, Briton, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
With the USA goes Israel, Europe, South-America and some Arab States.
All the Eastern States are poor and backwards a great deal. No formidable power will come and help Putin, unless it gets really to the last breath, then China might jump in and help Russia, or maybe not.

Already written already told .. what part of the prophecy did you not behold ... in the first post ?

and why need you a name - though one be given -- if the prophecy is true then all is forgiven,

now off you go .. some learning to do .. and don't come back .. until the Prophet is you !?

You don’t have to believe the media. Listen to Putin.
Confident leaders don’t need to sound like strutting popinjays threatening nuclear war on the planet because the Ukrainians had the temerity to put up a fight when he attacked them and embarrassed him in front of the whole world.
He and trump are birds of a feather. No wonder right wingers get leg tingles at the thought of putin slaughtering Ukrainians. It’s payback for Zelensky not caving in to trump’s demand to invent dirt on Biden before the election.

Israel has already started working in alternative currencies (I'll give you two guesses which two). If you're reading Western MSM you won't know about this, but you can effectively kiss them goodbye as a fixed ally. They'll go where the power goes.

Australia will go with the East because we have no choice. It's where we live. New Zealand ditto. The rest don't amount to a hill of beans in the face of the India/Russia/China/Middle East/Asia block.

Your (yuge) mistake is in putting all your focus on an individual. This is much bigger than Putz.

You've been carefully manipulated into thinking it's all about just one man, for very good reason. It allows you to think it's an 'easy' defeat, and that the West is still holding all the power. They want you to think in such cartoonish terms, because it keeps your money flowing through their cash registers (and yes, that's how grubby the new propaganda is). Seems to be working well with you. You're so busy hatin' on Putz and indulging in remote compassion for the blue eyed victims, that you can't see anything else.

Adding a new NATO country with a 830 mile long border, 250 miles from its second largest city and 600 miles from its capital, is 100% worse off than pre-invasion

Look at a map someday.. sometimes they're colorful....

Ironically, you are arguing on the side against Authoritarianism, from the perspective of a Dictator, who calls all the shots, with all others' opinions being meaningless. So what is it that our pseudo expert, Tipper, is suggesting? That we institute sanctions amongst our allies, to which their leaders are not yet amenable?

*Anyone who calls our weapons transfers to Ukraine "half- assed," only proves that she doesn't have a clue as to what she is talking about. In a very short time, we have infused a great deal of weaponry, which has been very effective, into Ukraine-- ask Putin. Could it have been even more-- sure; I myself, in fact, have advocated for the transfer of Soviet MIGs to Ukraine. But the path we have followed, when considering all the possibilities, has been very successful, relatively speaking (FYI-- this is an ongoing conflict; it ain't done, yet, regardless of what you think). It means very little, that you can now step in & backseat drive, as if you would have gotten us even to this point. Real life is not ideal. If you were to take your same, perfectionist, eye to Putin's & the Russian military's moves, you will find much more to fault, than you have to criticize about the Allies' strategy. The point I have been trying to express, but which seems to be completely lost on you, is the need for pragmatism, where cooperation & consensus are involved. The practicalities of any situation, limit what can be reasonably be expected.

But if, in the world of your arguments, practicality is irrelevant, then I can top your suggestion. All Biden needs to do is get on the phone with Putin (who is fluent in English, even if he prefers not to use it), sing a bit of "Dust In the Wind," and get Putin to have a complete change of heart. So, I guess I should be criticizing Biden, for not working with a singing coach?

Your claim that more land doubles the security risk is unsupported.. no quantification given to support said claim .. other than hot air and name calling.

How is Russia so much worse off .. due to this extra land .. "Double the ABMs" on Russia's soil .. is that the double trouble you are referring to ? hope not .. as wouldn't that be a flawed assessment of the board .. spanky who ha making moves on the basis of that fail..

So what is it .. where is this double trouble that this extra land conveys .. has Putin quivering double in his boots ..

The one who cries "Look at a map someday" .. no see board so clearly .. make big blunder .. blunder punder from down under .. don't look good on the Ego wall Perhaps Ego livin in glass house .. shouldn't throw stones .. Heed the words of Peter .. he know.

No, I haven't heard about Israel's new currencency.
Presently I am worrying about Putin losing the war in Ukraine. Read here:

"The Pentagon scheduled a meeting for 26 April 2022 at its Ramstein air base in Germany to discuss ways of increasing and amplifying arms deliveries to Ukraine. 40 states are expected to participate and it is being chaired by US Defense Secretary Lyod Austin.

The United States has already sent USD 3.3 billion worth of weapons to Ukraine."

    ----------
The United States are dead serious!
Putin realizes he is in too deep. That is why his body is showing the enormous stress he is under. May God help him and us to come to an agreement for a peaceful ending of the fight. Nobody wants a nuclear wipe-out!

Then why did the U.S. cut its defense spending by more than one third in real terms in the 1990s?

Hmm don't think we are quit as close to the nuke button as that .. but .. escalation is a concern - not just because of the nuclear scare .. but for other reasons .. proliferation of some very high end product .. and rules who gets this product now loosened -- perhaps the Kurds should be provided defense against the Evil Turks ....Palestinians given defenses against the evil IDF . and so on .. who can say otherwise and not be a hypocrite .. Shall we recognize Kosovo .. why not Crimea .. Do as we say - Not as we do .. don't work so good no more.
