When on any given issue Russia holds the high moral ground and the US is in violation of numerous international agreements.

It's happening big time in Ukraine. It's been happening in Syria for 6 years or so.

The Israeli/US Global War Of Terror has clearly shown the moral depravity of the US/Israeli style of governance and military aggression.

    It's Bizarro World in here.

Russia has a puny, one-trick pony economy. Sanctions will hurt.

From a 3-month-old YouTube account called "True inFo" publishing a bunch of pro-Kremlin krap.

I get that things are not going well for Ukraine and Bill was relating this information - but that is no reason to revert to Ad Hom fallacy .. try to shoot the messenger cause you don't like the message - and so try to hide that message from yourself and others. Self deception will not make the bad news go away mate .. it is what it is.

The Kremlin is poised to cut future spending plans by £24bn as Western sanctions against Russia bite.

Defence, technology and transport budgets are all set to be trimmed, according to Russian media.

More than 1.6 trillion roubles, or £24bn, has been slashed from the Russian state budget over the next three years as Moscow braces for a two-year recession.

Canada could grow a lot more wheat. Maybe it will.
    No longer.
Reality now is NATO from the Arctic to the Black Sea. You can't even fly your protect your tanks with your air force.

You could have lived in prosperity with the West. Now, you have to get rid of the War Criminal and your kleptocracy before you can do business with Europe snd America.

Russian parliament passes an initial vote on economic measures to support Russian military

    From CNN's Uliana Pavlova

A new set of economic measures aimed at supporting the Russian military passed the first vote in the State Duma, Russia's lower house of parliament.

There are still several rounds of parliamentary procedure to go, but if the measures are adopted, legal entities in Russia will not be able to refuse contracts with the Russian Armed forces.

Although Russian officials continue to call the war in Ukraine "a special military operation," the new measures would effectively mean the country is re-shaping its industry in support of the ongoing invasion, placing the country on a war economy footing.

In his statement, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov noted the "enormous sanction pressure" from the West.

“The bills introduce the obligation of organizations to conclude contracts in order to ensure counter-terrorism and other operations outside the territory of the Russian Federation, and also grant the rights to contractors to purchase products necessary to fulfill the State Defense Order from a single supplier," Borisov said as quoted by Russian state news agency RIA Novosti.

The economic measures will still need to undergo second and third readings at the State Duma, be reviewed by the upper house of parliament and be signed by President Vladimir Putin to become law.

Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24. While it has made gains in the eastern Ukrainian territory, it has also suffered heavy losses in terms of its army and equipment.

    Live updates: https://www.cnn.com/europe/live-news/russia-ukraine-war-news-07-05-22/index.html

Putler's war will only become more unpopular as the Russian economy continues to sag and wilt under the "enormous sanction pressure." It is interesting that they're adopting a measure to force industry to accept contracts with the orcish horde; were there refusals?

Figures. A union boy....aka....someone that can't make it on their own. I've been self employed most of my life except 3 years following college. I don't have someone writing checks for me nor ganging up on employers to extort more money from them than the job is worth. Congrats, sounds like you got what you deserve.

You say you have freedom yet you rely on someone else. I don't.

Russian court orders halt to key oil pipeline

The Russians are desperate to keep the price of oil up. That's how much they're "winning" the economic war.
