Of course, little putie boy the dog has blocked more inspections that would show his pet/puppet/fellow mass murdering dictator assad the filth used chemical weapons to mass murder.

russians should be so, so proud that their leadership is the absolute scum of the earth, second only to iran-NK who leads the pack. Great to be a russian, for sure!

Yes...but they're sure quick on the mark to accuse the US for dropping bombs on Raqqua, Damascus, Aleppo, etc.

Another day, another dollar for the UN. All in a UN day's work. It's amazing that China abstained.

Russia vetoes U.S. resolution to probe chemical attack in Syria
Nov. 16, 2017 -- Russia used its U.N. Security Council veto power on Thursday to stop a U.S.-drafted resolution that would have extended an investigation into allegations that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons on his own people earlier this year.

you say it was Putin who invaded & looted Iraq, destroyed Libya & sabotaged Syria, not the US?

look, your local media spin's worse than North Korea's.

US involvement in Libya and Syria was minimal.

Looks like the sc-mbag putie boy, the thief of russia's wealth, murderer of Chechnya and Ukraine, prime cause of the russian olympic doping scandal and troublemaker interfering with Western elections, has not protected his turd ally assad from the proper investigation by the UN.

There will be a day of reckoning for both assad and little putie boy, <Mod Edit> A glorious day for humanity and freedom worldwide.

It's a blatant cover up by Russia and only serves to confirm Assad's guilt. There were reports earlier in the year Russia knew about the chemical weapons attack before it happened. I think the only question left now is how deeply involved were Russia in carrying out this attack.

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused Washington of sponsoring the Daesh terrorist group as well as failing to fulfill the promise to withdraw Syrian Kurdish forces from the Syrian regions liberated from Daesh militants.

"They [the US] said they were fighting Daesh, but what did they do instead? Gave Daesh a load of dollars… We do not want to enter into an allied relationship with them on Afrin. The United States has constantly violated our agreements. In Manbij, in Raqqa. When we offered to work there together, they promised that not a single member of the PYD [Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party] would remain there, don't worry," said Erdogan, expressing deep disappointment over the US’ non-compliance with the agreements reached.

    Reading you link:
The official, who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly on intelligence matters and demanded anonymity...
    https://www.apnews.com/19772be1238e49fbb62c509a5b659b3d

So, we should trust some anonimous "official" from the AP article?
I'm not sure this "official" even exists.
But if he exists - why he didn't dare to speak publicly and openly?

So, we should trust some source, because it's "reputable"?
No facts, no names, no proofs, no confirmation - just source is "reputable"?
Are you trying to look funny or maybe it's really your opinion?
If we remove all "anonimous" from the text - what do we have then?
    Nothing. No information. Zero.
We should believe at zero because the source is "reputable"?

reputable sources don't publish only bad news from a country, Russia in this case, they don't censor out good news, AP does.

The Associated Press have been around for almost 200 years... I stand by what I posted... you just don't like hearing it.

Russia were aware of the chemical weapons attack before it happened, a Russian drone was spotted immediately after the attack and a Russian plane then bombed a hospital where they were treating those injured.... no wonder Russia wants it covered up
