    I hope Russia doesn't expect the Turks to give a crap about what they say, much less listen to them.

    Turkey could beat the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of Russia in a war.

    No way!

    Let us leave aside the fact that Russia have more nukes than even the US, and talk about a conventional war, with no outside influence, for the sake of the story.

    I am not saying it would be a pushover, but Russia would defeat Turkey.

    Russia has only a few working nukes and even their much vaunted GLONASS type missiles are a bit long in the tooth. The 4650 total given is pretty much a Soviet era figure and they can barely put a few ships to sea, much less launch a credible nuclear attack. There are thousands of photos of nuclear missile sites abandoned in the 90's that were never re-occupied. Their armies aren't even up to snuff. The Soviet days of launching huge human waves are long gone and the Russian reality is an army that can beat Georgia and not much else.

    Russians, like Arabs, are famous for their puff and blow. They act big, but have nothing to back it up.

    Then you have the FACT that Russian society is horribly divided and nearly revolutionary, much worse than the US. A war with Turkey would most likely be another 1917 for the ruling elite in Moscow.

    There are none.

    I would settle though for a media that was high quality, not bought off by the interests of the few, and not clear propaganda.

    So if it's private, it is, (possibly) bought off by the interests of the few and when its owned by the government or the church or any self interest, it is propaganda. What is our alternative?

    Viewing figures for FOX, for example, are not what they once were.

    Nor right wing Talk Radio.

    People do get sick of it, and turn to something else.

    Has the Russian leader shown leadership in regards to Syria, yes, they have attempted to have a political settlement!
    Has America shown any leadership in regards to Syria, yes. They have paid for mercenaries, organised transport to assist in genocide, armed the democratic free syrian army (Lucifers words) to cut the throats of the Syrian army, civilians men women and children!


    Do the Russians have fair and free elections, yes!
    Do Americans have fair free election, no!

    You might see a common theme developing!

    Perhaps you might think, for once!

    Americans are helping the rebel army fighting for freedom from leaders who they don't agree with. America is helping, them, Russia, is helping a dictator.

    Do we need actions of war to overthrow a dictator? Yes!

    Is Russian leadership helping the oppressed people? No!

    Moreover, Russia in good faith agreed to UN resolutions 1970/73 in relation to the so-called no fly zones in Libya which NATO subsequently contravened, resulting in 50,000 civilian deaths in the city of Sirte. Is it any wonder then, that Russia vetoed UN resolutions in respect to Syria which the West condemned them for so doing?

    So using American CIA drug money to pay for mercenaries is giving the people of Syria democracy?
    Mercenaries cutting the throats of the women and children assists in removing the leaders of Syria?

    If America is giving funds to these Mercenaries than give me a source. If there was a credible source on this then it would be international news.

    ...and comments like "Your argument is that of a five-year old" and "Grow up child!" proves you are losing the battle.

    Well I would say that we have to take the media with a grain of salt. Keep in mind their source and their possible bias (which will always be there). Let us make sure that the media is never controlled by the government or church. Corporate media is not perfect but it answers to the people. No corporate interest can force them to write what they want. They answer to the people who choose to receive their news. That is who they answer to, their viewers/subscribers/customers. We stop watching, they stop making money, that is their only incentive.

    Media should exist but individual responsibility should be there to understand that the media might be lying and that not everything they say is true.
