Sanders: Coronavirus crisis 'is on the scale of a major war' (do they have an Ace in the hole here?)

The Great Coronavirus War Is upon Us
    https://townhall.com/columnists/vic...the-great-coronavirus-war-is-upon-us-n2564545

"If we stay calm and rational, we can defeat the enemy.

Try this thought experiment. Envision the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, as a living, breathing enemy — which, of course, is exactly what it is.

But imagine for a moment that we are in real war with a cognizant, thinking, and clever enemy whose sole reason to live is to hurt, maim, or kill as many of us as it can."

Is Townhall "leftist"? No, it's not.

Globally, this is going to kill a lot more people than all the wars of the last 50 years put together. Assume a 1% mortality rate (instead of the 3% rate we're currently seeing). Assume 1 out of 5 people get it. You're talking 1.6 billion infected people and 16 million deaths. That's not even counting the downstream effects of deaths due to inadequate care from impacted hospitals. Italy is seeing a mortality rate of 7% right now. Even if they've got TEN TIMES as many cases as they think they do, that still makes it 7 times more deadly than the typical flu.

Ridiculous. This is not a war. It’s not close to a war. I’m sure some college liberals are worried their WiFi might be interrupted, that’s a huge sacrifice for them in par with this country in 1942 for example.

I’m surprised some liberals can even get out of bed in the morning in the constant state of fear they live in.

Made up numbers. Contrary to the numbers we have seen even out of ground zero China.

Some people are simply insane with fear. No concept of reality. Fear...fear...fear...

    Comical. Dad really but comical.

The DP bosses are really rooting for the CCP/DP Corona Pandemic now.
Sanders' advisors should tell him to stop pumping the pompoms for the Democrat Establishment.

Social behavior my ass! When a second grader is suspended for nibbling a pop tart into the shape of what the teacher thought looked like a gun, that isn’t teaching behavioral skills, that’s f’n mind control.
When a grade school boy is labeled a sex offender because he tries to steal a kiss on the playground, that isn’t teaching behavioral skills, that’s f’n mind control.

Democrats want as many people as possible to get the virus, they are sick of seeing their rallies tally in the tens and hundreds while Trumps rallies are tallied in the thousands. The more people that get sick the more the economy dives, the more no one has to see on TV Trump outnumber Dem rallies so yes indeed they are giddy with happiness over this virus.

Anecdotally, & on a personal level, I've been waging a philosophical 'war' with those in my spheres of contacts. There are so many w/ cavalier / fatalistic / blindly optimistic mindsets that don't realize that it's not just about them. Like many of my Millennial cohorts, it's unlikely that there would be lasting deleterious consequences (even if we were to be "+"). I am troubled by the fact that many don't seem to appreciate the reality that we will be acting as conduits of virus for may that will not fare so well ~ parents, grandparents, great grandparents, immunodeficient, chain smokers etc. etc. ...

Ask millennials or GenZ in the work force. They get upset if you try to explain to them how to do their job, it’s not your place to explain anything. They know how to run corporations because they have an online degree.
