The U.N., by definition, is a globalist organization (the initials, as you note, stand for UNITED NATIONS, i.e., of the world). But that Globalism's aims are Socialist or Communistic in nature, that's a new one. Globalism is synonymous with Internationalism, aka Multi-Nationalism. And the power that underwrites Internationalism is Corporatism: multi-national, Capitalistic, CORPORATISM. That's who finances politics, for the most part. And the U.N. is an arm of global politics.

That's why the WTO-- World Trade Organization-- is the successor to the U.N.'s General Agreement on Tariffs & Trade (GATT treaty)-- see links at bottom. How many International Corporations would you call Communistic or Socialist? Nike? Coca-Cola? Chevron? Monsanto? Nestle?

Here is just an interesting excerpt from the article I linked, below, about the, "14 worst corporate evildoers." It is very tame by comparison to many of the others, but I took it for its reference to the WTO's brothers in arms, also spawn of the U.N., the IMF & World Bank.

    Suez-Lyonnaise Des Eaux (SLDE)

The privatization of water has had a disastrous impact on the human right to clean water, and the French company Suez is the worst perpetrator of this abuse. The company's billions of dollars in profit come at the expense of poor people living in countries where thousands lack access to potable water, and, because of private water contracts, are also facing skyrocketing water prices.

Suez goes by many names around the world--Ondeo, SITA and others--to mask its worldwide net of controversial activities. In Manila, Philippines, after seven years of water privatization under a Suez company (Maynilad Water) contract, studies showed that water rates increased in some neighborhoods by 400 to 700 percent. These studies also showed that the negligence of the company resulted in cholera and gastroenteritis outbreaks that killed six people and severely sickened 725 in Manila's Tondo district.

In Bolivia, a Suez company (Aguas de Illimani) left 200,000 people without access to water and caused a revolt when it tried to charge between $335 and $445 to connect a private home to the water supply. Countless people were unable to afford this charge in a country whose yearly per capita GDP is $915.

Unfortunately, the IMF and World Bank are playing a key role in pushing water privatization all over the world. Many countries have been required to open up their water supply to private companies as a condition for receiving IMF loans, and the World Bank has approved millions of dollars in loans for the privatization of water systems.

So, while it is true that Trump threatened to pull us out of the WTO, I don't know where you got the idea that the U.N was, "driving Globalism," for the goal of a, "SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST redistribution of wealth..."

Hey, LoneStarGal. How ya doin'? I almost feel this might not be the best time to bring this up but, on the other hand, there's no time like the present. So, in regard to our earlier parries over Nancy Pelosi's future among the Democrats: in an MSNBC interview, the chairman of the DNC, Tom Perez, just referred to Pelosi as, "the most influential & impactful Speaker in American history." But, of course, he doesn't get a vote on the matter. And the Dems did lose some House seats. So this does not necessarily signal that her maintaining her position as Speaker is a done deal. But if you ask me, it's pretty much a done deal.

P.S.-- I don't relish being the bearer of this news to you. But, admittedly, I did want you know.

Don't let it ruin your night.
