Employers are responsible for the actions of their employees, so of course they are responsible.

One really can't blame the school for denying the infidel boy water during Ramadan. (It was only 85 degrees, anyway).

Infidels in England and the United States, one must do anything which might offend a Muslim or a black person. It's just simple, common-sense protocol of the times.

O' Allah! It is written. It will be!

bingo, it's not a right\left thing, it's not a religion thing, it's just a personal choice people make, pro-choicers may choose not to abort, pro-lifers may choose to abort when it's them choosing, just never know

Really? I would have told my kids that if eating and drinking and class was prohibited they needed to follow the rules.

My father loved us, and was smart enough to process the idea that the muslims CHOICE TO FAST, was THEIR CHOICE, and we are not bound by it, thankfully.

Not exactly sure what to say about a father who makes doormats of his OWN CHILDREN, so as "not to offend" people who CHOOSE to do something, that is NOT his own choice.

My father would have gladly engaged any "offended muslim" who dared to suggest otherwise, in any "jihad" they cared to initiate.

After landing on Utah Beach, "upset muslims" were no "big scare" to him.

It took the "60's" generation ,and their yellow backed children, to start the worldwide "ankle grab" to appease muslims, that is so clearly illustrated in the OP.

I wonder how your father felt, watching his OWN CHILDREN GO THIRSTY, to appease people who would do NO SUCH THING to "not offend" his OWN religious sensitivites.

    What a FOOL.

We also managed to NOT "be offended" by other people eating meat during Lent, somehow.

    Go figure.

I'm on our local school board and we still have those rules in place, no eating, drinking, or chewing gum in class.

Not for religious reasons, but because school is a place to learn not to hang out and eat and drink

Of course the Muslims in this school would also be encouraged to give up meat, or eat it in secret on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday and Fridays in Lent as to not offend those Christians...right?

LOL...of course not. This is a one way door.

Approximately a month w/o water, depending upon the moon, of course, and during the hottest time of the year - the person would be dead. You can live longer w/o food than you can water......

But even drinking as little water as possible during the heat can be dangerous. But if the adult Muslims want to pass out from heat stroke, dehydrate their bodies for some insane reason..... oh well!

The kids were allowed to have their glass of water in their classroom. If not to drink it when thirsty, then why the glass of water sitting right there?

The story said the boy was thirsty, but teacher told him his Muslim classmates would be offended if he drank it, so the thirsty kid didn't drink it.........

More like the "my daddy didn't make us doormats for your daddy''s religion" tactic.

Not at all. Grok's daddy simply told his kids they had their rights also.

Umm, I told my kids the same thing. 'Be respectful, but don't buckle under to something you don't believe in.....'

The teacher was simply ignorant... like many on this board.

    What a petty, pathetic remark.

You dont have to fast if its dangerous for you (working conditions etc) . You should do a bit of research before talking about issues that you dont know anything about it .

I wonder how that teacher would feel if many kids came to class with a big, gawdy crucifix around their neck
