It's been a long time in coming, but finally some common sense from Democratic leadership: http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/339364-schumer-you-dont-blame-other-people-for-losing-an-election Here are some key excerpts: "Democrats need a strong, bold, sharp-edged and commonsense economic agenda. Policy, platform, message that appeal to the middle class, that resonate with the middle class, and show that — and unite Democrats," he said. and....... "But you lose an election, you don’t blame other people, you blame yourself," he added. Where was this self reflection when it could have made much more of an impact?? Instead of wasting months of precious political capital on fabricated and failed Collusion theories, the Democrats could have turned a huge negative into positive. Amazing.....
Schumer is out of touch with his base, who is still blaming everybody but their horrible candidate, horrible political party, horrible ideology, etc. Maybe he has his ear to the ground and realizes this blame game is accomplishing nothing and causing more harm than its worth. Either that or he's ramping up for his own White House run in a few years.
This is more BS from Schumer. The democrat party is slowly and painfully figuring out the American public is tired of lies about Russia, Hillary's whining, CNN and MSNBC's proven fake news stories from unnamed and anonymous sources, Maxine Watters types, and dim witted "celebrities" spouting off. Someone over there figured out this is a losing strategy and something needs to be done to turn the ship around. The democrat dumpster fire will continue because not all of them can stand not being in the spotlight.
He may be out of touch with his base, but respectfully, his base is nuts. In contrast, he seems to be reaching out for more of the mainstream sane people who have been slowly abandoning the Democrat Party.
