Science: Men are smarter than women

How politically incorrect is that statement. The thing is, it doesn't matter, because it is scientifically correct.

Now in no way am I advocating for women to be discrimated against because of this fact. The real purpose of this thread is political correctness.

We, the western world, are becoming so disillusioned by the concept of equality that we would rather be delusional and ignore scientific fact. This is called "progress". No, this is regression. This is bad.

 

Fact and political correctness are rarely, if ever, congruent. More often than not, political correctness is diametrically opposed to fact. Because the entire purpose of political correctness in the first place was to attempt to make the facts of the world easier to swallow by deliberately lying to oneself about what they are. And then branding anyone who dares to observe them objectively a heretic. It's a religion for the godless.

Did you read the article? The headline was misleading, but women's IQ's are rising faster than men's, but still haven't surpassed. As soon as they do I'll crown women as the smarter gender.

 

I think that when God made the universe, he wasn't very politically correct about it.

You don't get to be a super-powerful, light-devouring black hole unless you're black.. If you're white, you'll only ever be a dwarf.

 

I just don't understand why people can't accept that we are all different. Mean are better at some things, women at other things.

Now in reality I don't think that women are dumber then men. You can't accurately measure authentic intelligence, not even in an IQ test. The point of this thread is to point out the ridiculousness of political correctness. Women are superior to men in many ways, and vice-versa. We're different. I think it has to do with biology and society.

 

Of course men are smarter. In every society since the beginning of history, men have been the dominate gender.

If men and women were equal, you would find many instances in history where women were dominate.

Yeah. Women are less likely to think with their gonads and pick fights that waste resources. Sounds like superior thinking to me.

 

You could make a statement that Men are Stronger than Women, because studies would readily show that men, on average, can Clean Lift and Bench Press, more weight than women.

But if you've ever had to do a grueling, long term, low impact, low strength required, endurance challenge, like setting out signage for an event, and you've had men and women both on your staff, you know damn well, in that venue, women run circles around men.

The same could be said of mental acuity tests. Given testing heavy on mathematics, Mechanics, spatial relationships, and logic, men will do slightly better.

Given testing heavy on Language, Social sensitivity, Cooperative Leadership, and Intuitive deduction, women will do slightly better.

So, what is Intelligent?

It depends entirely on what you're going to use the Intelligence FOR!

It is not out of political correctness that I say my wife is smarter than me. It's out of a will to survive.

 

Even if we accept OP 's statement as correct in the last 3m years sexual dimorphism in humans is diminishing , in few hundreds of years there will be none.
Female brains are differently wired with more focus in multitasking while male ones are single task focused , if the sample had to take the IQ tests while watching TV or ironing women would have easily own men in the results.

 

With women like Pelosi and Hillary that must be true.

Yes, it has long been known that men are smarter than women. The reason is that their brains are bigger. In fact they are so big, they had to open a branch office in their pants. Unfortunately that branch office does all the thinking.

Actually, I blame it on the fact that men have been able to supress women through brute force. There is no difference between male and female cognitive abilities, which means that we must look to other differences as the culprit.

Being that women were physically controlled by men, they were suppressed in many ways.

I hold true to my thought, people are people, intelligence is based mostly on your environment. Man woman black white or green.

 

Really, the point of equality is to remove pre-judging. To allow for the POSSIBILITY [of success by anyone, regardless of background.

Even if we assume that men, on average, are smarter than women, that does not mean a given woman is not smarter than a man she is competing against. It is even possible that the smartest person could still be a woman. These studies are only making claims about averages. The outcome of the study is therefore irrelevant in this context.

"Progress" is not excluding people for a job based on pre-judging. They are entitled to the opportunity to prove their competence and expertise for a given job.

If we are all different, why did you make a thread judging people by averages of a group they belong to?

..on average. I am willing to bet there are a great many women who are stronger and smarter than you. Or me.

Averages do not tell the whole story. That is why they cannot be used to judge individuals. All they are good for is rough estimates in the absence of more specific data.

 

The problem with IQ tests is that they mostly test intelligence but a bit of knowledge testing creeps in as well. To truly test male versus female IQ, you should test equivalent groups (university students?) and see what the results were.

 

Going by personal experience....I beg to differ. Both my wife and mother are more intelligent than I am.

I do not say this to get laid or honor my Mom......it is simply truth in my opinion.
