Im not interested in playing the game where you work to try and discredit my perspective by attacking me, rather than the facts being presented.

Even when the first temperature readings began with instruments, they are trending at worst .5 degrees C higher than other methodologies historically. There are a host of reasons why this could happen, including instrument calibration, incorrect historical data sets, and even human error.

In any case, I believe in fact that the earth is in a warming period, but I have yet to see conclusive evidence that its a result of human activity.

 

If one hurricane season is active out of the last ten that were not it's evidence of global warming though.

As one can see in science there is no such thing as global climate or earth climate, it is totally fake term, climate is strictly regional.

There was a time when "flat earth" was scientific consensus. The fact remains, man can't do jackshit about the climate. Climate is going to do what's it's going to do, no matter how sweaty your palms get from wringing your hands. In fact, it is the LEFT that has politicized climate change. The LEFT sees an opportunity tax human behavior. Weaponizing a false narrative that "man can fix this" is why this is such a divisive subject. Progressives will not let an opportunity slip through their greasy fingers to employ their fascist tactics to control the population through taxation. End of story.

 

IMO the biggest blunder was allowing the father of the modern movement to reveal it's objectives when the first summit on the issue was held in Rio in 1992.

It's always amusing to see climate change deniers steadfastly refuse to understand what the effects of global warming are.

Which seems about the same as saying "science is right because it supports your political affiliation". Right?

 

Which is ever bit as stupid as saying "we don't know exactly how we effect climate, so we'll just assume that all changes are caused by us". Right?

If you agree that climate has changed in the past, you have to be able to ascribe the reasons for it, and a mathematical formula for why it happens and at what rate. Then, you can assess additive influences. If you cannot describe the first condition, you cannot assert as factual the second. Your assertion isn't correct. No one has ever said that humans cannot change climate. To say so is simply dishonest. What has been said is that we don't have the ability to segment the influence man may have in the change that we are undergoing today. If you, or anyone, can say with any certainty that "all, most, some, or none" of current climate change is being added to, or adversely effects the current natural trend, be my guest.

 

Tell that to all of those folks in CA that blamed the latest spate of fires on climate change even after most were found to have been started by men.

 

Conservatives made this a political issue in the first place. They place business as more important than literally anything else on earth, and the prospect of global warming meant businesses might have to pay money to be environmentally responsible. Rather than do that, they thrust thus issue out of the realm ofproven science and into the realm of public debate as if it was ever up for debate.

Muddy the waters, obfuscate the truth, debate rock solid proven scientific reality as if it wasn't proven and maybe you won't have to spend any money keeping the planet habitable.
