When he called Xi to find out if he could provide medical help he was serious. When Xi declined, he was serious on January 31 when he imposed travel restrictions to / from China for which Democrats called him a xenophobe. On February 24, Pelosi invited healthy Americans to visit Chinatown because everything was great. The pandemic came to America in earnest when Democrat Governor John Bel Edwards decided not to cancel the international Mardi Gras party on February 25, which drew sick people from all over Europe through NYC to NOLA, sickening Louisiana and neighboring states. Then, on March 8, feminists and similar progressives traveled to Madrid and back to catch and spread the disease. By then New York City dwellers did what liberals do after they destroy their places, they spread sdestruction all the way down the east coast.

In short, Trump was the only one taking COVID-19 seriously ,,,, your post is so much bovine flatulence.

Are you on China's payroll like Chris Murphy? Trump imposed travel restrictions 3 weeks before Pelosi invited healthy Americans to visit Chinatown because everything was OK and called Trump is a racist, sexist, xenophobe.

lol is anyone not fit into your narrative is on china payroll, or you just have a glass heart, can't swallow facts. Sure Trump stop the travel, but by then COV19 is already in the US, when it was 15 case, trump call it no big deal and gone in couple weeks, he did that for solid 2 month before declare national emergency. I'm not saying pelosi/baiden behavior is right, but that doesn't excuse Trump downplaying it, two wrong does not equal right, beside pelosi/baiden are not potus. also i'm not on lib or convser side, i just see how potus and other react to the crisis. and its fact trump downplaying it for long time before taking it seriously

So.. the virus started in China. The Chinese worked to supress the magnitude, providing incorrect and false information to the WHO. President Trump did not immediately act on this false narrative by both organizations right away, because the information was corrupt and lies.

But.... Trump is at fault. WTF. TDS at its absolute worst.

You don't care about Italy, England, or Spain.

You care about one thing, trying to blame Trump for partisan gain.

Let's stop beating around the Bush. You see this situations as a perfect opportunity to attempt to score political points, or better take some away from President Trump.

Pretty effing disgusting. Extremism is alive and well in this country, doncha think?

It's easy to see which US politicians the Chinese Communist Party owns or are at least on their team.

MODIFIED LIMITED HANGOUT: Lying China increases Wuhan’s coronavirus death toll by 50% but denies cover-up.

At the start of the outbreak, China proceeded mostly in secret, emphasizing political stability, while systematically hoarding global medical supplies and PPE that would become essential in a pandemic. They understood the scope of the outbreak for a long time before revealing the outbreak to the public.

During that time, thousands and thousands were infected.

A group of medical workers, including a doctor who later died from the virus, were even reprimanded and threatened by police after they tried to sound the alarm on social media.

President Trump on Wednesday voiced his own hesitance to accept Chinese officials at their word, citing their secrecy. He also withdrew funding from the World Health Organization over pro-China bias.

The world now has 2,230,439 confirmed cases and 150,810 deaths, with deaths doubling in 12 days.

The United States has more than 686,431 infections and 35,578 deaths, with deaths last doubling in 7 days.

Globally, more than 2.2 million people have been infected by coronavirus and more than 151,000 have succumbed the illness.

Are you as naive as Trump?

Because Trump got played by Xi. And I don't find that hard to believe.

Especially since he was one of the rarest heads of state in the world who didn't adequately prepare for the pandemic.

Trump was warned by his own intelligence services AND American epidemiologists as early as January that the US could be hit hard.

    What did he do next?

He set up a useless little travel ban, went to play golf and rally with his idiot sons.

So why did Dr. Fauci in late Feb. say the virus was a minimal threat to the US and only hypothetically dangerous, and that there was absolutely no need for Americans to wear face masks? Isn't Trump supposed to listen to the experts?

Almost everybody said it saved us a lot of time, good thing your dementia candidate wasn't POTUS, he opposed that due to PC.

Fauci did not say there was "nothing to worry about," and although he stated that Americans did not yet need to change their behaviors, he noted that what was then classified as the COVID-19 outbreak could require that to change.

Just a heads up. There has been a 10 year Right-Wing Anti-Chinese, Anti-Korean agitation propaganda program in Japanese language media. Most Americans do not know about this propaganda, but it is like the ubiquitous Right-Wing talk shows in America scapegoating immigrate war refugees from Central America. The pot is boiling in Asia and it seems to be an engineered diversion from Trump's Covid pandemic failures costing more than 11X times the carnage of 9/11. Trump is planning to use war chaos as a cover for his corruption and failures. Notice that the Democratic leadership is absolutely silent lacking any leadership ability.

You’ve got to watch out because although the risk is low now, you don’t need to change anything you’re doing. When you start to see community spread, this could change and force you to become much more attentive to doing things that would protect you from spread.”

At the time it was considered low risk.. Even ****ing snopes quotes that.. Of course the lady with a cat tries to spin it but snopes is a joke to begin with.

Just to be clear, the argument that you are trying to make is "Trump being wrong at the time and endangering lives is OK because this expert that works for Trump was wrong and endangered lives at that specific moment in time."

I think the expert was right, we had nothing to worry about at the time and obviously that could change.

why don’t you think the president should listen to the experts? The doctor has been working there long before trump

Fauci's interview was on February 29th.

Between that date and March 13, a lot happened and the epidemiologists' discourse changed.

During those 12 days, Trump was walking around saying that the virus was going to go away on its own.

It will eventually, like the Spanish flu did in a much more medically primitive time.

Fauci said that earlier than late Feb, but why would we be concerned about something the #1 expert said has a minimal risk to us, only hypothetically? Would you be OK if Trump said that? You can't knock Trump for statements early in this fast changing problem based on what the experts told him, and give a pass to Fauci.

That's OK. Obama killed the equivalent of 93 x 9/11's dwarfing the carnage caused by the Chinese ,,, and that doesn't count the Biden-Obama swine flu during the 2009 - 2010. Xi needs to come up with a better story for you to tell if you want to impress.
