What did you expect when gays were allowed to serve openly? That they still be prosecuted when they have sex?

BTW, oral sex falls under sodomy laws.

You want it ti be illegal for a military person to engage in that?

One of the definitions of "terrorism" is interfering with commerce.... With enough imagination I can easily classify you as "terrorist". Are you ready to go to military jail for the rest of your life?

How, exactly, am I "interfering with commerce"? Or is this just something stupid that someone says when they run out of ammo in an argument? That's what it looks like.

Legalising sodomy is one thing as it doesn't harm anyone except the two consenting adults taking part in it.
Bestiality is another thing entirely, however I don't think that any soldier will be allowed to grab a cow, or a goat or a dog etc and have their way with it.

It is likely still going to be illegal in the country that soldier is in, right? The Senate didn't change the laws of another country, the soldiers still have to abide by the rules of the country they are serving in, and if they violate those laws, will be punished accordingly.

Correct me if I am wrong on this.

Soldiers have immunity from other countries' laws. That is why we are not leaving anyone in Iraq - they will not extend immunity any longer.

So a soldier in Iraq could break all of the laws and not get arrested?

    I don't buy that...

    Correct.

There is no recourse under Iraq law (or Afghanistan) against a US soldier for ANYTHING! Rape, murder, anything.

Not just soldiers, but even contractors like Blackwater , as well.

GL ever getting treated like a normal person in the army after being caught committing bestiality...

If someone is weird enough to (*)(*)(*)(*) a goat, I seriously doubt that the law is stopping them...

And all foreign diplomats are offered diplomatic immunity in this country if they commit a crime. They're offered safe passage here, no matter how heinous the crime they commited......

Personally, I think that's one law no country should have......

Well Iraq said they gave up that law, which is why we are leaving.

I think the reason the law exists is because different countries have different morals and laws. Something legal here may not be legal there and vice versa, or carry a steeper sentence elsewhere. I mean if a US female government employee has an affair while in Saudi Arabia she shouldn't be locked up in a Saudi prison for the rest of her life...

I'm not gay but when the repeal of DADT happened I was tempted to go down to Luke Air Force base and sodomize a troop just for fun.

    Consensually of course.

Is there a problem with eating horses?

I presume the Right is ecstatic with one less intrusion of government into personal choices.

Or is that a "bad" freedom in the Right Wing list of "improper activities"?

Wrong. It's called looking further up the road. You're being incredibly short-sighted and ignoring the history of liberal behavior. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. For anyone. Stop for a second and examine the social history of the left wing and tell me when they have ever reached a point on a single issue where they knew when to stop. Every cause they have ever taken up, they are still pushing to this day. And every time they make any kind of significant progress with it, they just move the goal posts a little further away and make excuses to justify continuing their crusade instead of calling it a day with a job well done. Not once have they ever achieved a predetermined goal and retired a cause.
