I bet they wish they thought of this to protect the corruption that is McCabe and Comey. You know that old saying "don't throw good money after bad?" Well, that's what the Senate Panel is doing. Never mind that not a single charge thus far has even remotely related to Collusion, never mind that he's never even bothered to try and find the so-called Obstruction that occurred(He knows he can't, because he's sitting on over a million provided documents.)

It's very unlikely that the House passes this(who would've ever thought the House would protect us from catastrophe) and it's doubtful the full Senate under Mitch McConnell passes it either. So this will amount to ultimately nothing. Even if by chance it did get to the POTUS's desk, it is another affront on the POTUS's power and would indeed be challengable in Court but that's presuming the POTUS doesn't veto it(he would.)

So one hand, it's much ado about nothing and yet on the same time this is the worst Congress in US History and today showed us all as Americans another example of its ineptitude.

May the 2018-2020 Congress surpass the 2016-2018 Congress.

You are correct.. no chance this passes either body, assuming it even gets to a vote..

There's that pesky little Lindsey Graham in the news again... he and Paul seem to be the 2 R's with a consistant spine... good for him...

Yes, and that "spine" seems to extend all the way to the end of his rat's tail.
There's a reason why he and John McCain formed an
exclusive mutual admiration society that consistently aided leftists in Congress and now oppose Trump (to the extent McCain was instrumental in getting the Steele dossier into the hands of Comey's FBI, another rat friend of his).

And as pointed out Graham's senseless grandstanding gets him nothing and nowhere so his actions seem to amount to just sticking a finger in the eye of Trump for his pleasure and at the expense of the Constitution that grants the Executive branch with certain powers and privileges.

If you voted republican you are responsible for this republican controlled house, Senate and executive so what's your point exactly?

June 2017?? Not exactly fresh stuff there...

I had forgotten about John McCain, another respectable R Senator, but sadly probably with limited time left to him. Bad mouth him all you want, but his name will end up way above Donald Trump in American history books...

Graham and Paul have clearly separated themselves from the chaff of the rest of the R Senate by some of their actions since last fall. Should either get to the point of being the front runners for the GOP (in 2020 or beyond), they would be 2 candidates who could garner a lot of independent voters going forward... People are noticing....

As someone who dislikes neoconservatism, McCain won't be that much further ahead of Trump in American history books. Actually, can anyone say America, as a whole has been monumental in the 21st century? What will go into history is the Iraq war mistake, Obama's presidency and freaking Iphones.

We're witnesses to the 21st century version of fallen Rome.

Illegal incursion into Executive Branch powers...neither branch of the legislature can remove Constitutional authority without amending the Constitution.

    I assume the Constitutional
rights and privileges the president has haven't changed since then.

I couldn't agree less about McCain
and from the Keating Five to his neo con war mongering to his failed presidential campaign and Steele dossier duplicity he has been
an unpleasant stain on American politics.
He spent a career in politics becoming the left's favorite republican and in the end they viciously kicked him aside when he challenged
Barry Obama. He's truly alienated himself from everyone and aside from Lindsay Graham I doubt anyone will miss him.

Couldn't agree more about Paul or less about Graham.

No this is a reminder message to the Exec that he or his office is not above the law.

Save your keystrokes if you are going to puke up Obama, Hillary, BillybC or the xSteel Dixiecrat those have nothing to do with this.

If the House passes it, then Trump can veto it, if he wishes.

Trump will veto it, if it gets to his desk, it's unconstitutional.
