Well you are kind of correct, Covid didn't cause inflation. The opening up of the world after the shut down and the demand for goods and services that had been hindered by Covid caused the inflation.

I am not wealthy, but I have benefited from the strong economy.
Many many people have benefited.
And barring any setback this year, will do well again.
