Yes, that was a big story. You know what wasn't a big story? The same exact crime... victim being dragged to death, in the same exact town, 3 years later. The only difference? This time it was a white victim who was killed by blacks.

Why so hypocritical, Mello? A black guy gets dragged to death and it became a worldwide story. 3 years later a white guy gets dragged to death, in the same town, and only 22 media sources even mentioned the story. Do you deny there is a double standard? Do you defend it?

Oh, so it was not done out of a racial bias. Thank you, kind sir, for showing that comparing apples to oranges is absolutely silly. I am honestly shocked that anyone with any sort of integrity can honestly expect to compare that to the James Bird murder in terms of similarity of circumstances.

Lets say me and a black guy get into it. Well we get going and white devil, cracker, (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) n word,.... get to flying around who is the racist? Well I say no body because it was two pissed off men going at it. If I get killed (no weapons and no intent to kill) in the process and it is shown that we were both at fault the black guy will probably go to jail on manslaughter or some lower than murder; as it was a homicide not a murder.

If I kill the black guy under the exact same circumstance I will probably get the same charges against me + a federal hate crime.

Contrary to your horrible inaccurate and blatantly dishonest reiteration of my post, I never stated anything murder being okay. The entire discussion, which apparently you did not read, started with a claim that someone was not aware of a racially motivated crime by whites against blacks in 19 years. I pointed out that there were indeed cases, including one very high profile case in that time frame.

Someone countered with a crime whose end result was the same, method was close, but it lacked the racial aspect, which makes it a incomparable. basically, people were attempting to compare things that were not like.

So I am not sure of what your point here was, except to attempt to muddy the waters further with pointless partisan accusations when it is clear that your post is not following along with the conversation.

 

Um..i believe the point of the thread was the fact that major crimes by minorities do not get reported as often. Because the media does not want the public to put 2 and 2 together.
