Shani Davis skips opening ceremony after losing coin toss [and making racial tweet]

    Classic case of entitlement meets butthurt.

    Ok so this guy and another athlete tie in a vote to decide who will carry our flag.

    So in the most fair of ways to break a tie, a coin is flipped.

    Well this didn't sit well with Shani Davis who took his sore loser rant to Twitter and, for some reason, decided to invoke race as he decreed the coin toss to be "dishonorable".

    I guess coins are racist.

    I guess the laws of probability are governed by "White privilege".

    But then in a further display of childish butthurt he decides to skip the ceremony and even his excuse for why further displays his arrogance.

    "oh I wasn't going to go but if you honor me with the flag then I will, otherwise nah man nah"

    I guess simply being there walking with your fellow teammates and representing America isn't enough honor for this prick.

    Break a leg Shani, no seriously.

    I feel bad for him, I am a HYPER COMPETITIVE person and used to be the kid when I was 16 that would throw the controller at the TV if I lost in smash bro's.

    Losing sucks, it takes a while to understand how to be a gracious loser and unfortunately it looks like he hasn't learned it yet.

    Sadly, he played the "racissssssssssss" card which is most likely because he see's it played so often. Most likely just a twitch reaction, unfortunately for him, when you are in the spotlight every move you make is judged.

    This one makes him look like a moron

    C'mon, Ron - I ain't white and even *I* see the race card being played there.

    It ain't THAT subtle. A Black man got disrespected during Black History Month (dun dun DUNNN!) and he's whining because the coin toss should have gone his way since it's February.

    He invoked race while making the statement so I think its fair to say we know the general area he was aiming at.
