    If you see the LGBTQ issue in a positive light, you have a right to portray them in a positive light. Just as if you have a negative view of them, you can portray them in a negative light. That is how the first Amendment works.

    I so often see the First Amendment used in these discussions only through the lens of freedom for Religious discrimination and not through the lens of free speech. I agree

    In other words, the 1st Amendment renders it impossible to make illegal, in positive or negative light.

    Illegal - no - but honestly Im kind of sick of it. In a lot of movies and TV shows now there is some incongruent LGBTQXYZPJSDF story line thrown in there just for PC culture sake. Just like the ridiculous portrayals of family units - Daddy is black, mommy is white and the children are asian, latino and pacific islanders.

    It just seemed to me the poster I was responding to did not have actual experience with the opposite sex based upon some of his wild conclusions about anal sex.

    Considering the plethora of entertainment sources available today, you're always welcomed to change the channel if you do not want to be exposed to how other folks actually live. You may not like mixed marriages, but you better build up a tolerance for it because it is the new norm.

    Oh I do flip channels when it gets to stupid for me. 1/10 couples now is a mixed race marriage. It's commonplace, but still nothing like what the tv would portray. Tv and movies widely and routinely overrepresent minorities and lgbtsjfnrejjss comparative to their actual proportions in society. It's just PC culture.

    I will agree with you about those appearances that seem to be thrown in for no reason whatsoever. Now having some in the background without drawing unnecessary attention to them, such as in Finding Dory, is well and good, because that's just normal background. Might as well complain that anyone black in the background is thrown in for no reason. I think they have done will with Supergirl and the character Alex's relationships. They come across as no more idealistic or problematic as do the straight relationships.

    The only place where I get really tired of how they portray homosexuals or queers is in these big pharma ads. While I understand they are trying to connect with their audience who could benefit from their product, they seem to go overboard with the intimacy stuff. For all the other drugs out there, I do not recall seeing any heteros kissing as much as they do in these ads targeting the LGBTQ community.

    Then again, I hate ALL pharma drug ads anyway.

    side effects may include death, hairy palms, violent diarrhea, halitosis, growing a 3rd nipple and foot odor. This drug only has a 5% success rate. Blah blah blah
