    Well should it?

The gay thing has been typed to death on this forum. Now tackle a little forgotten corner of the fringe minorities.

At first I came to respond 'no!'

...but then I thought, what if he works in a shoe store and needs to reach those really high shelves?

If they aren't physically capable of performing the job due to their size, then yes, otherwise no.

If the midget was hired in the first place then obviously he/she was employable for that organisation. If he/she was sacked for work related reasons then that's fine.

To add,, when I was in high school I had a maths teacher who was a dwarf. She was a brilliant teacher but had to stand on a chair to reach the top of the blackboard. She could also laugh at herself being a dwarf. I enjoyed her lessons, never a dull moment.

    Just for being short?

No. That wouldn't make much sense.
