Should L.A. gather up the homeless and export them to the desert? On another forum they were throwing around possible solutions to the homeless population in L.A. An encampment outside of L.A. was a possible solution. RE is too $$ for housing the estimated 50,000 homeless in L.A. I think 29 Palms would be a good spot for an encampment. The RE is a lot cheaper in the desert. I see no way to handle it otherwise - the homeless pop keeps growing as the robots take over. What is your solution? BTW, this is a pretty picture of the issue. For the real view head down to skid row.
Cisco donates $59M to fight California homelessness... Well many work or get government benefits just cant afford housing, in my case in Saint Petersburg in Florida, near Tampa, if my father dies I intend to relocate to Indianapolis, IN where I can get rented rooms and monthly rental motel rooms for about 40% less or more than similar housing here. For example I can rent a furnished room in a private home assuming I have reliable income [SSI is seen as better than a job as its guaranteed money] for $450 near buses and in a good location and around herr it would be for similar housing nearing double that. You sometimes need to swallow your pride and move where one can afford but remember many need access to good mass transportation, medical provider systems and other things to survive so middle of a desert means we die. Not to mention what if they want to work and need to get to employment and training and places to work.
