Should the US have an electoral reform commission and what should it recommend?

    I say yes, if they reform the system then no one can complain about cheating, no more hanging chads or stop the steal, I would recommend;

    1. Use a computer to independently redraw electoral boundaries to avoid Gerrymandering

    2. Issue everyone a voting card when they turn 18 or become a citizen, you can send out renewal warnings but it's up to people to update them if they move etc

    3. Standardise mail in ballots with safeguards to prevent cheating,

    Elections are not in Federal purview.

    Correct. And I will add that putting federal government in charge of state elections would increase corruption. It is up to the states to have free and fair elections.

    There are inherent benefits to a more standardized consistent system. That will never fly in the current political climate.
