Error Correction in Quantum computing is the main inhibitor of fully quantum computing devices precisely because of the "measurement problem". Now these scientists claim to not only predict but "reverse" the jump. A tremendous achievement.

Physicists can predict the jumps of Schrödinger’s cat (and finally save it)

Yale researchers have figured out how to catch and save Schrödinger’s famous cat, the symbol of quantum superposition and unpredictability, by anticipating its jumps and acting in real time to save it from proverbial doom. In the process, they overturn years of cornerstone dogma in quantum physics.

The discovery enables researchers to set up an early warning system for imminent jumps of artificial atoms containing quantum information. A study announcing the discovery appears in the June 3 online edition of the journal Nature.

The implications of this could end up being profound, but it is but one of the many difficulties in quantum computing and cubit recognition....time will tell but it does create new possibilities. I would say we have developed a new flea treatment for his cat at this point.

    Show me.

And not just a bunch of arithmetic.
    Nor artist's conception.

Get your electron microscope ready so you can see the atoms that contain the invisible particles in question. Also train you mind to think and see instantaneous interactions.

If the "reversal" referred to in the article can in fact be implemented, its one helluva lot more than a new flea treatment, but I get your point.

Maybe if the focus was on something approaching
    Absolute Zero

But, An Electron Microscope probably wouldn't get the resolution,
electrons being so big and fat - - or wavelength depending on how you view it.
Probably require a sub atomic particle microscopic system.
    Shorter wavelength.

    Absolute Zero
    What does :flagcanada: Know
And When Did They Know It?
