Trump will never fire Mueller. If Mueller files a report and tries to quit Trump may command him to continue at least through the 2020 elections.

Mueller remains Donald Trump's most valuable political asset - the MSM is a close second.

Ha! I'm content to wait for 'Dr. Mueller's Medicine Show', Te. Why aren't you? The longer we wait, the more 'fun' it'll be... right? Why run the risk of spoiling everything with 'premature ejaculation'? Let's wait for the stunning and overpowering (and very entertaining) 'wheels of justice' to grind Donald Trump to pieces! Surely Dr. Mueller won't make us wait all the way until the NEXT election....

Actually, it's all our problems. If it wasn't for the fact that so many people can't seem to see how much and how constantly Trump is lying to them he wouldn't be President today. And once Mueller shows them incontrovertible evidence of his complete mendacity yet again I don't see why the Trumpers will accept it this time either. I look forward to January when we'll see why the entire Congress should be dismissed for daring to question the Holy Orange Icon again

    Why would Trump fire him?

Right, A Republican shyster treasonously betrays our entire election to a hostile foreign power and it's "meh". While a Democratic grandmother gets her Christmas list on the wrong server and it's "lock her up"

Guess you think a bloody thirsty maniac is better? This is about as happy as I've ever seen this warmongering piece of bad work.

I'm not a moderator but IMO you might as well go ahead. That's the best summing up of how Republicans seem to feel about legality in American electoral processes I've yet seen

I agree on the first point. The second point is totally wrong. Hillary had classified information on that non-secured server. If any of her employees at low levels had done that, they'd be facing prison time.

That said, I think the Russians were manipulating both sides in 2016. Their goal was wreaking chaos in the U.S. electoral system. They succeeded.

If I recall correctly, Hillary's defense was that someone else had set up the server wrongly and she didn't know the system was compromised. Anyone else would indeed have faced a reprimand and possibly loss of position, but it is far from uncommon for operatives at the highest levels to be given forbearance for errors that have done no damage, particularly in areas of fairly new technology.

Trump OTOH, KNOWINGLY sought to and succeeded in stealing the election. This is apples to bank robberies

I don't support anyone intervening the prematurely end an investigation into their campaign.

That doesn't explain how she "lost" 33,000 emails. Russians? lol

But indeed it does. She admits that her main problems are due to her lack of ability with computers, isn't losing data a common problem there?

This was not new technology. It was settled technology. Powell and those before had the excuse of new technology. Regulations for email usage had been written a few years prior, and Hillary just refused (illegally) to go by them.

The Hillary campaign had no problems taking intel on Trump either. The Russians were on both sides (or more specifically neither).

And that's why there were specific regulations on email, so she wouldn't have to guess. Plain and simple, she set up a private email server to do government business on so she could circumvent FOIA. In addition, she was sloppy and put classified information on it.

How do you know she set up the private server to circumvent FOIA? The only thing you can prove is that she was sloppy and the difference between that and misinformed is nonexistent nowadays. That something is settled technology doesn't mean diddley. I still have a flip phone and can't even get email on it. Should I go to jail over that?

So what you're telling me is that some idiots wanted to elect someone who couldn't even work a email account?

You don't just press one button and all of the sudden 33,000 emails disappear...

Please tell me you know this, right? They have to not only be deleted, but shredded from every ounce of the system/server.

Yes and no. There is software that can remove and shred huge amounts of data with one click and it is Security type software, meant to remove sensitive blocks with one click and sometimes no clicks when a request for them is not entered properly. These are oftimes designed programs put in by installers who either don't tell the owners about them or only tell them to just leave them alone. These rely upon careful operators that know what they're doing, not grandmothers that only think they do.

The woman could have made a big mistake very easily, but I realize she is a Democrat who was blasphemously opposing the Great Orange Hope, so she must be burned in the righteous fire of right wing wrath forever

So you're saying that she was so desperate to get rid of incriminating evidence that she had to have malware installed to destroy emails on a system/server?

    Hmmm...

    Why go through such lengths?

I don't know... I just think it's time for Mueller to cough something substantial up or get out of the way, it's been two years

I would support giving Mueller until the end of the next quarter, Mar. 31, and then unfund the investigation. It's time to put this jalopy in high gear and get it over with.
