Slaughter turns the sea red with blood: Horrifying scenes as fishermen chase 250 whales onto a beach in the Faroe Islands and locals leap into the water with glee to stab them to death.

The Faroe Islands are between Norway and Iceland in the Norwegian Sea. How much money have you sent them so they can eat this winter?

The world has always been full of this kind of obsessive evil.
These appear to be uncivilized beasts...the ones with two legs.

I have not sent anyone there my money..nor should you expect me to. Regardless....I see the killing of a creature likely more intelligent than you are (albeit in different ways) to be pretty disgusting, that you do not may be equally so.

Looks like a less "crunchy" way of killing....perhaps they can sell body parts.

Ok as much as I don't like it, they are not poaching as they do this to survive. Until you can come up with a better plan for these people they have to eat.

Wanna complain about something then complain about the Japanese freaks who slaughter Dolphins or the chinese who kill Tigers for their penises.

seems to be less blood than comes from chickens on a daily basis... I wonder how the fish those whales ate felt when they were brutally murdered and eaten? or so its okay when these animals eat other animals, but not when other animals eat them? if they were so smart, why didn't they just attack the boats, or swim under them, or destroy the nets in self-sacrifice so the others could go free... so maybe they aren't as smart? or maybe they just lack thumbs? who knows...

anyhow, off to grill some chicken...

Yes, reality, the fact of it, is that life feeds on other life. It's what we are born into, and a part of. So, we should appreciate that life that we must consume, and respect it, never wasting the gift of life.

You can always choose not to feed off of life and lose your life. But that is very unnatural, and out of step with the nature of reality. One day the other liifeforms will feed upon you, and your cycle will be complete. So, this cycle cannot be a bad thing. Rejoice in it and go and have yourself a steak, or a vegetable meal if you only want to kill plants who are full of life, just like the beef cattle, or the whale. Just because your sense organs are not tuned in to hear the carrot scream, does not mean it is not doing so, in its own way.

Embrace and accept reality sir, be coherent with it.

Well, these people live on a rocky island surround by icy cold arctic waters which have a fairly large amount of plankton in the top few feet of water, but due to the cold, and lack of light, not much life from below those few feet, all the way down to deep blue icy depths of the bottom, 100s of feet below.

These are not Caribbean coral reef waters, teaming with kelp forests, sea bass, shellfish and crustaceans, fit for human consumption.

Say!... we could bio-engineer a large aquatic species, which is warm blooded, to withstand the cold, has large layers of fat to insulate, and specialized mouth parts to allow the filter feeding of the plankton in the top few feet of the chilled water.

These could be released into the waters surrounding the islands, and every few years, a group of them could be herded into the shallows, for slaughter and processing for human consumption.

These Bio-Engineered creatures would act as a concentration and free-ranging havesting mechanism for the plankton which humans cannot directly feed upon.

We could call these Bio-Engineered creatures.... .WHALES! :)

I hunt and fish - people need to eat and there is absolutely nothing wrong with killing an amimal if you're going to use most or all of it.

I know progressives think the meat they eat is grown on trees..... Sorry that just isn't true.

If you're against them harvesting animals for food then you need to provide them with a means to eat.

If they were so smart, they'd stay away from there........It's a big ocean.

There comes a point in some human discussion when it becomes apparent that continuation is a pointless gesture.

    Have fun stormin' the castle.

I think those who don't think "progressives" hunt or raise, and slaughter, animals for food are "mislead/misinformed" ;) Not everything is politics.
