    I didn't see the meteor shower either we stayed in, so far this week end we have had close to 5 inches of rain. The rain yesterday was something to behold, the water rushing down the hillside was like rapids. I can't remember seeing the water rush like that in quite a while. The words torrential downpour comes to mind to describe the rain.

    Back to work today, and of course, its raining, complete w thunder. Central Texas could sure use the rain, wish I could send it their way!

    Tough Monday. Raining like heck, made it to town, parked, paid. couldn't get across street because of deep water in gutters. Tried to find low spot, car came by and spashed me. Soaked to the bone. Came back home and called in.... which I shoulda done in the first place. Happy Monday!

    That happened to me once, I was working OPS at a University, my parking place was in the hinterlands of the campus. I drove to work and couldn't find a parking place, drove home and called them to let them know I wouldn't be back. Liked the job but not having to stress out about a parking place.

    Whats crazy is that this intersection was totally redone last year. Looks like they couldve spent less time designing pretty brick crosswalks and more time engineering better drainage so the 60 floors of employees in my bldg could safely cross the street to get to work! I swear, the raging rivers at that corner were at least 4 ft wide.

    Oh well, blew a day of leave, but got rested up from the long weekend. ;)

    Yeah,I remember onced it Rained like Heck.
    I don't recall ever calling in to work on account of being rain-soaked.
    Or rain-drenched.Like I started a Thread about.

    I worked over the weekend but then got Monday and Tuesday off.

    Today I mostly slept.

    Tomorrow (Tuesday) I will run errands and catch up on some paperwork like paying bills etc.

    They just haven't gotten hungry enough. If they get hungry they will eat it. Goats eat what they like first. If you feed them corn and corn stalks they won't eat much of anything else.

    I have been busy or I would be talking. It is hot here and so humid, it is really too hot to do anything productive. Not only that my garden plans have had to take a back seat because of all the
    rain we have been getting. The ground is too wet to till.

    It is very hot and humid here too. I started working on the house. I am doing the outside first. I start at 6 am and then sweat till the afternoon. I am also going to do some work inside. So I am thinking about working outside till it gets too hot and then coming inside. My wallpaper is begining to peel in the bathroom so I am still considering how to fix that. It just takes time, work and money.
