Don Williams takes me back to my favorite childhood memories. Being in the boat on a lake, my dad fishing, smoking a cigar, and drinking a beer. I would be rummaging around in the tackle box asking him what kind of fish every lure was for. We had a little am radio in the boat that he would tune to an AM country station and Don Williams was popular in those days and was played often. We are talking the mid '70's.

Was there something you wanted to add @Foolardi? You quoted my post but there is nothing there to read! :)

I would never accept money from them unless I really needed it. :) They don't have a whole lot to give.

The Greatest generation { My Parents age } and older will surprise
you. They grew-up with a tendency to squirrel away moola.
You will be somewhat flabbergasted to find out what their net worth
was when the reading of the will time arrives.

No, I know. Lol. Besides, I don't care about that. I go shopping with them because I love them, I care about them, and I enjoy our one day shopping excursion every week.

58 hour work week this week, stick a fork in me, I'm done! Bar keep, pour me 4 cold ones. Two for me and two for my feet. They are angry too.

I know ... I know ... that is the Kitschy response.
That you don't care about money or their money.
But in the end Money DOES play a role.Relatives DO NOT
tend to celebrate around other relatives with meek means.
    Frankly I wish'nt it weren't the case.
    But it is ... roundly.
Which is why I was motivated to dedicate an entire decade of my
life to understand such stuff.Meaning ... Enlightenment

I am not you. Don't project your feelings of money being the most important thing about family members onto me. I do not feel that way at all. No, my aunt and mother don't have any money, and I don't care about that. Don't speak about me, who you know nothing about, in such a way. Being a person who has lost very close family members, I know how important my family bonds are!

I'm sitting on my back patio, protecting the little dogs while a pack of coyotes hunt about 200yds away. By the sound, I think they just caught a rabbit. My next door neighbor saw a small bobcat about an hour ago. Chicks are in for the night. So far, my coop is doing its job. I'm about to bring my animals in for the night and go to bed myself. Kid has a parade to march in in the morning.

Work was slow this week, so I did some home maintenance this week. Mowing and plumbing mostly. Night.

Well then don't ever bother watching a single episode of
    - Judge Judy -.Because that is Real Life.
And Money and relatives/Friends is ALWAYS a key concern.
Grown Adults are not expected to be penniless.
Grown adults are expected to be somewhat whole.
Meaning they shouldn't have been brought up to believe
OTHERS will take over their debts or management.
That is the current conundrum facing americans.
Our Elders had no inclination of that POV.
    Today anything flies.

I don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. I simply mentioned going out shopping with a couple of family members.

The poorer bigger families are the most fun. Especially the ones who turn their 4 year olds loose on the ATVs and dirt bikes. Watching tough poor expendable free range kids in action is just one of the many joys of a large extended working class, very diverse, multicultural, mostly rural family. :)

    " They " again huh.I guess it beats " We ". Or " Us ".
I thought mostly wolves had a pack mentality.
I wonder if it's possible for a wolf to beat to a different drummer.
I guess if Jack London was around he'd know.
Where did the term " lone wolf " originate ... anywho. ?

Yeah, sounds like Foolie got up on the wrong side of the bed. Maybe he needs a new bed. Grumpiness can be caused by an uncomfortable bed.

I am a notorious Introspect kinda guy.I can't just sit idly by and
watch as if Grandpa waiting for his afternoon nap.
I like a good discussion. Not to be confused with the gang
back at the Cracker Barrel sitting around whittling and wondering
what kind of fish at biting today.
