    If I were you, Id drive real slow on the way over. lol

    If I was handing out stars for these cookies that lady who wrote the recipe would owe me 4 stars. You know the kind of cookies that almost look like plastic puke. These are really close and way too sweet. I cut down on the sugar and they are way too sweet. I know she bought those cookies she has a picture of. Ill even bet the milk is fake at this point. lol

    I knew..I seriously knew not to take a recipe from the internet. It never works out. Its like this.

    Ive collected cookie recipes from all those old timers since I was probably around 10. I have some serious recipes. Im the chick who makes the family cookies for Christmas and the first thing they say is, Merry where are the cookies? lol

    I think sometimes people just don't know what a good cookie is suppose to taste like. Definitely not this.
    I did find some pleasure in making them though. When I was done and when I tore up the recipe I printed and put it in the trash.

    This is definitely one of those the house smells better than this is gonna taste moments.
    To be honest I kind of feel bad about swearing at that lady I never met who's recipe sucks. But I got over it quick.

    True, but it is also true that people change. I tend to think it's a crap shoot - the luck of the draw - as to whether you grow together or grow apart. No matter how much you try to build a relationship, if you are fundamentally incompatible, then no amount of effort can fix things... and more to the point, why would you want to?

    Looking back, my biggest mistake was hanging in there about 15 years longer than I should have. But you always think that maybe tomorrow things will get better.

    A slight disagreement. Given that most human beings are lazy and always take the path of least resistance, then when faced with a difficult situation offering either a hard path to fix it or an easy path to avoid it, most will take the easy path. Few will take the "road less traveled".

    Despite the saying, one can teach an old dog new tricks, but the dog needs to be incentivized to learn.

    Still, the last six years have convinced me that compatibility is innate. You can't fake it or learn it. It exists or it doesn't. A compatible couple might grow apart and can fix things with effort. But I do believe in lost causes. Move on and make the most of the life you have left. Don't waste a moment on a lost cause. For example, with my ex wife, 30 years later I have no idea who I married. But she sure as hell wasn't who she pretended to be.

    Religion has brainwashed us [me in particular] that it is better to throw your life away for some imagined noble cause, when in fact you are just throwing your life away. And then you die. So I decided to go with a smile.

    But 30 years were wasted. It was never a good marriage. I wasted half of my life for nothing!

    I have the same problem - sometimes for defense work, other times just proprietary information. But when a customer asks for references or photos, they're hard to give because I've signed NDAs for just about everything I've done! How in the hell do you give a reference if you can't talk about anything?!?! LOL! Well, uh, I did this thing for this guy...

    For dinner/breakfast at 5 PM --

    - beef macaroni sauce with flat noodles and vegies

    - mango/pineapple fruit drink.

    Today is my Friday. Tonight (early a.m. after work) I can drink again.

    Tomorrow is my Saturday. I will probably sleep most of that day.

    That sounds like a great recipe. I am wondering if you could also substitute almonds for the pecans and have butter almond cookies.

    I would like to show my wife and kids what I work on. I could get a badge that would allow photography but you have to say what and why you need pics and if approved I can only take pics of that. Whipping out your phone and taking pictures on a secure military facility is a big no no.

    No goats yet but the border collie is adept at herding the chickens. You should see him he gets them in a group and pushes them into a corner. I love my border collie.

    Spouse had to check my forehead tonight for a sucker sign after I opened the door for the cat to go in/out for the fifth time in 15 minutes.
