" very clean places to say ". What.I think we under some Shelter in Place
order.I mean, not enforceable because a law like that would Defy our
Bill of Rights, implied under our Constitution. One of The most beneficial aspects
in our Great Republic is Freedom of travel.
As our POTUS stressed the udder day ... This Country was not Built
to keep americans locked up in confinement to their residences.
The only reason they allowing Liquor Stores to remain open is
preventative.Deny an alcoholic his fix and they go into withdrawal and
    may go haywire.
Then again ... too much access to alcohol and one might make good
friends with a neighborly Pink elephant.

I've heard that all people coming into Texas from hot spot states must quarantine for 2 weeks upon arrival.

As if there is a huge Turnpike-like toll barrier surrounding
the great state of Texas.I guess Governor abbott could issue a
State-wide use of National Guard to deny entry of vehicles with an
out of state license plate. And then double check one's drivers license.

Samehere they have to quarantine for two weeks. I think it is more to discourage people from even trying to get into the state. If you allow people in where and what hotel will accept them? This stuff gets weirder by the day. People need to stay home and safe.

They may have you practice a very strict social distancing regime.
I do know one thing for sure I am tired of the virus.

That's true, but if they get pulled over for speeding or get arrested it's another charge against them.

Of course there are udder ways to control and intimidate.
Alex Jones { Infowars } explains one way it works. He was dining out in
Austin with his wife and was pulled over as he drove into a convenient store.
This was before any state-wide shelter-in-place nationwide directive.
I explained it here at the Grill weeks ago.He was asked if he had been drinking.
He said yes,he had a little bottle of sake with his dinner. So he had to go thru
a sobriety test.Which ain't no piece of cake.I went thru 2 in me life. One in
Cleveland on a motorcycle and one about 25 yeas ago.
So Jones was having a bit of a hard time walking that line. The cop
doing the walk the line test, did the same to explain how they work.He didn't
do very well, either.Never the less,Jones was taken to the police precinct
    for a breathalizer.Had to blow,not once but like 3 times.I guess
until he blew the limit for drunkenness. Now Jones does love to embellish
or exergerate facts. But he was charged with a DUI and jailed and had to
get bailed out.He explained how Texas handles DUI.The copper will ask ya
if you've been drinking. If just as much as One Beer with a meal, you will be
charged with a DUI,no matter the Breathalizer. That was explained to him
by Texas Cop once.I read once, one way to avoid a DUI.If you get pulled over
then pull over. Then remain in yer vehicle and refuse to get out.Call yer lawyer
and try not to pull down the window.Just remain seated and act normal.
    Er some such thingy.

I don't drink when driving or carrying a gun. I'm usually doing both. I do my drinking at home or neighbors homes.

The quarantine is not to put more control on people in general. It's to control the spread of this virus. It can't be blanket enforced, so they make the cost expensive to make it a deterrent. Kind of like IRS audits.

How do people ride elevators and maintain 6 feet? The stairs are even worse with all of the heavy breathing and hand rails.

I get it.Like what Boston pulled after the Boston Marathon Bombing.
A city wide lock down{Watertown} and door-to-door search for the 2 bomber suspects.
    I have seen footage of how the Cops { backed up by a Swat Vehicle }
handle going door to door. When they arrive at yer front door { they use a
bullhorn } You must get out of the House Immediately.Even if you haven't
put on shoes.Even if elderly.I saw Elderly people being shoved onto their
driveways if they moved too slowly. Many of them wearing bathrobes.
Boston {Watertown} was blanketed as every street was gone down and each
home had to vacate.A couple people had their dogs shot on the spot.
The Coppers didn't have time to fuss with barking dogs.
Turned out that after the Lockdown order was lifted a guy spotted
someone in his backyard climbing into his Boat that was covered.
He called it in.That's how they captured one suspect. The one who
lived.Barely.They permanently blinded him and crippled him.
There was NO footage of those 2 suspects planting any cooker bomb.
Boston is and has been a corrupt city for decades. They have both
    an Italian and Irish Mafia.

Speaking of which.I talked at length to my brother's Best man
in Cleveland on Saturday. He works at NASA.I made a comment
about how he now had some free time.He said NO ... he's doing his
    work { he's a mechanical engineer } at home and is behind.He
submits stuff via his home computer. He also trusts CNN.
And Distrusts Fox.If that is any idea'r of lucidity.
My question is ... for all yuz at home on yer computers doing what you
    do at work { or in some cubicle,Think the movie - Wall Street - {1987}
at home,I don't get it.The only place Americans are allowed to shop or
Buy Product is at the Grocery store or Hardware store or Liquor store.
Plus Wal*mart of course. What in tarnation { or udderwise } could be
taking up time for those who are doing their job at home on the computer.
Please spell it out for Me.Or Us.

My wife, who ordinarily has a 40 minute drive to her office, is sitting next to me in my study remotely working :pc: in a t-shirt and sweat pants. Hair is up in a bun, no make-up. For her, this is the bright side. :p

My computer (same laptop I use at work) is connected to our national server. I can access the same documents from home that I can at work. The goal is to adapt so the fact you're working from home is transparent. We had probs with the network being overwhelmed at first, but they've now got the bugs out & I can stay connected all day.

I like not having to make that commute, but it's harder than I first thought. Esp when you have several assignments and find yourself sitting at the PC for hrs at a time! IOW, easier to focus @ home. ;)

Corona Virus Thought For The Day

Liquor stores are considered essential and should remain open in a pandemic.
Validates what many of us have know for years.

Again ... real simple.Yer place of work {Business or company} either
makes a Product or performs a service.
If a retail outlet then they are either closed or will run out of product.
To make real simple. It'd be like expecting yer dentist to be open on
    Sunday.
No products are being manufactured.Very few services except
City and Government.Fast food is reduced because the volumn of
traffic is reduced.Again what work is being done at home.
Spread sheets.Cost Analysis.Product advertising or some marketing.
Unless employers feel obligated to make it seem like work at home
is necessary to keep one's mind from going off the deep end.
But then you can make up work that isn't necessary.
