This happened in my home state and I thought I would share Now before everyone starts saying "Oh! Grandma - what big snakes you have in Australia!" I should point out this was a "freshie" not a "Salty". In non-Aussie speak it was a fresh water croc - which are a lot smaller than their salt-water cousins
Still not as big as our Salties I remember some years back when "Charlotte" was attacking outboard motors off of Dinghies and after it attacked one boat they interviewed the crew and got what HAS to be one of the quintessentially Australian replies of all time. They asked "How big was the Croc?" The answer "Well, about 18 foot ocean going with room for two inboard and two more on top".
I remember a joke from back in the day. Why are there no sharks in Darwin harbour The croc ate them lol
Snakes alive!... Can a snake eat a human? Wed, 29 Mar 2017 - While pythons can eat large prey, an adult man was long thought to be too big.
