Now before everyone starts saying "Oh! Grandma - what big snakes you have in Australia!" I should point out this was a "freshie" not a "Salty". In non-Aussie speak it was a fresh water croc - which are a lot smaller than their salt-water cousins

Yes the freshie only get up to about 30 or 40 feet. Pretty manageable for most of our wildlife ;)

I remember some years back when "Charlotte" was attacking outboard motors off of Dinghies and after it attacked one boat they interviewed the crew and got what HAS to be one of the quintessentially Australian replies of all time. They asked "How big was the Croc?" The answer "Well, about 18 foot ocean going with room for two inboard and two more on top".:D

Saw a photo somewhere this morning of an otter snacking on a small alligator in Florida.

Can a snake eat a human?
Wed, 29 Mar 2017 - While pythons can eat large prey, an adult man was long thought to be too big.

You can keep both of them. We get a gator sighting once in a blue moon. No worries here.
