The fact that Newsweek found this event news worthy for their national publication just shows the state of the American public.

All national news organizations have turned into the tabloids that were sold at the checkouts aisles of stores in the 1990's and prior.

Why? because that is what sell in America today.

 

Progressives are the new arch conservatives. They're the modern equivalent of the tsk-tsking elderly spinster who never misses church.

What I find tasteless and stupid is that students are being catered to and allowed to dictate the curriculum in a humanities class.

 

Of course they are. 19 year old rich white kids who know nothing of life at the coal face, should be dictating everything. Well, them and Madonna.

 

They say that about a lot of movies, but I'm not so sure. I think a movie specifically designed to "trigger" these types such as "The red pill" would do quite well thanks to all the free publicity. That's basically the shtick of the Ben Shapiros and Milo Yiannopolouses of the world. They want that reaction, and it's why people pay to see them.

I quoted Newsweek in one the Franken threads, an article about the various rape allegations against Trump....

and was told that Newsweek and the liberal media are fake news and cannot be trusted....

so....

I had just been told (by one of "your team") that Newsweek was fake news...next thing I see is a quote from the "same team" quoting Newsweek. It's amusing. Maybe not Mel Brooks hilarious...but kinda funny.

There is still tons of un PC over the top comedy...you probably hate Broad City or Curb Your Enthusiasm for example...but both are over the top un PC.

There is a lot of over the top stuff that would never have been on TV 50 years ago...drugs, sex, etc...they satire everything...

I think though, like Blazing Saddles, they try to be on the right side of it for the most part, and by the right, I guess I mean the left....
