"There is no crime, absolutely none, that cannot be condoned when ‘our’ side commits it. Even if one does not deny that the crime has happened, even if one knows that it is exactly the same crime as one has condemned in some other case, even if one admits in an intellectual sense that it is unjustified — still one cannot feel that it is wrong. Loyalty is involved, and so pity ceases to function." - George Orwell/Notes on Nationalism.

It is almost comical to me that the term 'Orwellian' has become part of the modern bourgeois vernacular.

George Orwell was a BBC employee.. Owrell was part of the British intelligentsia. The CIA use the bourgeois propaganda of George Orwell to brainwash western children and soft minded individuals into being anti-communist. The CIA purchased the rights to Animal Farm and made an anti-communist childrens cartoon. Western governments have forced schoolchildren to read the anti-communist nonsense fairytale that is Animal Farm for decades. Westerners are brainwashed to have a negative and base understanding of communism while we are children and into adulthood. George Orwell is the favourite propagandist of the western bourgeois. For me some of the so-called 'doublespeak' contained in the rantings of Orwell is glaring and obvious when one reads his nonsense for what it is.

George Orwell was a real life version of his pathetic and cowardly character from his novel 1984, Winston. The book 1984 is no warning and if read for what it is now it reads more like a confession. The fact that George Orwell is a hero to so many western people is distressing.

George Orwell helped to create the Cold War and obviously was a fanatical anti-communist propagandist but it was not just communism that Orwell wanted to destroy.

One thing that I do agree with Orwell on is that I am against rebellion. Orwell is an anti-rebellion propagandist but more than that he is an anti-change propagandist that is trying to make you think like defeatist coward Winston from 1984. The great writer Jack London was a target of Orwell propaganda and in my opinion Orwell himself is a bourgeois counter to smashing strong Jack London. It is no accident that in bourgeois society the great Jack London has all but been erased and replaced with Orwell. Most people think of Jack London as a 'nature writer' that wrote some stories about dogs. This is a tragedy and no accident. Like I said, I agree with Orwell that London was wrong to advocate for violent rebellion but it is dishonest and insulting for the bourgeois to use Orwell to erase true socialist hero Jack London.

The insulting attack made on Jack London in the Orwell essay 'Prophecies of Fascism' should leave any thinking person with no doubt of Orwells dishonest intentions. Any fool can see that Orwell wrote Down and Out in Paris and London and The Road to Wigan Pier not because he was inspired by Londons great novel The People of the Abyss but because he/they wanted to counter and replace it in bourgeois society. It is glaringly obvious that 1984 was written to counter and replace the great Jack London novel The Iron Heel in bourgeois society. Weak and cowardly Orwell protagonist Winston is the personification of pathetic Orwell and smashing strong London protagonist Earnest Everhard is the personification of the great Jack London.

"In an intellectual way London accepted the conclusions of Marxism, and he imagined that the ‘contradictions’ of capitalism, the unconsumable surplus and so forth, would persist even after the capitalist class had organized themselves into a single corporate body. But temperamentally he was very different from the majority of Marxists. With his love of violence and physical strength, his belief in ‘natural aristocracy’, his animal-worship and exaltation of the primitive, he had in him what some might fairly call a Fascist strain." - Orwell/Prophecies of Fascism

The opening quote above from Orwell on nationalism is contained in an anti-nationalist doublespeak propaganda script titled - 'Notes on Nationalism'. This so-called essay is beyond insulting to any modern thinking person. The most hilarious aspect of this trash Orwell script is the fact that Orwell attacks a catholic propagandist for writing about a place that he had never lived in. This is the quote from his essay - "Chesterton had not lived long in France, and his picture of it — as a land of Catholic peasants incessantly singing the Marseillaise over glasses of red wine — had about as much relation to reality as Chu Chin Chow has to everyday life in Baghdad. " - Orwell/Notes on nationalism. For me this is hilarious coming from an anti-Russia propagandist that had never been to Russia.

“I have never visited Russia and my knowledge of it consists only of what can be learned by reading books and newspapers” (The Collected Essays, Journalism and Letters of George Orwell, Vol. 3: Harmondsworth, 1970, p.457
Orwells anti-communist and anti-Russia propaganda had about as much to do with reality as Chin Chan Chow has to everyday life in Baghdad. I do not believe that a person needs to visit a nation to gain an understanding of it but it is funny to see Orwell being so awkwardly hypocritical.

Orwell links political change to violence and claims any attempt to change society for the better will result in failure or things becoming even worse. The point of George Orwell was to end history and to end ideas.

“Orwell's argument is pitched at a different level: it is that socialism in whatever form offers the common people no more hope than capitalism; that it will be first betrayed and then held to ransom by those forces which human beings have in common with beasts; and that the inefficient and occasionally benign rule of capitalism, which at least keeps the beasts in check, is a lesser evil. That proposition is Orwell's alpha and his omega”. (An Immodest Proposal: `Animal Farm', Stephen Sedley; Inside The Myth

What do you think? Would you agree that four legs good, two legs bad? Would you agree that Orwell was the terror of mankind? The protector of the sheep fold? The ducklings friend?

It is obvious to me that the work of Orwell is a major contributor to the fanatical capitalist sentiments that are a feature of western bourgeois societies. Orwell and his propaganda contribute to negativity that westerners have toward the economy of China. The base understanding that the majority of westerners have of communism and of socialism and the fear that has been encouraged to be associated with the ideologies makes it possible to cast China as a threat and enemy when this is not reality at all. China is certainly not anything like the base stereotype of communism created by Orwell. The modern socialism with Chinese characteristics is progressive and compatible with the global economy. It is not only compatible but has been driving the global economy since the GFC.

In my opinion the way of the future lies between London and Orwell. Of course class conflict is not the best way to seek change but the futile and defeatist attitudes that the work of Orwell encourages in people is also not the way any longer. The rise of China is proof that change is possible and that ideas still do matter.

Orwell and friends were wrong. It is not democracy that is going to end history. What do you guys think it will be then?

Wow, you know your stuff. I thank you for sharing your insight.

Is Oceania destined for a demagogue? Or is Eastasia going to liberate the masses? Or both?

I wasn't being cryptic. I loved your post. I am only asking if you think the Don or the Hill are either the problem or the solution.
