I moved from the west Texas desert, where 115 degrees is nothing because it is so dry and there was always wind. Coming to Austin felt like a swamp to me (still does). By contrast, people who move here from Houston (the swamp) think Austin is wonderfully dry. Guess it's perspective.

Don't envy you one bit having to do hot work outdoors in the summer heat!

But didn't Trump tell us that warm weather would make this all go away?

Well if you did you should see that there was no spike in the New England stated from the protests.
And you would be able to see the worst is yet to come for Texas. But keep up the good fight. :cheerleader::cheerleader:

It's a hobby, I am the boss, I work until I get hot then come in the AC and cool down and repeat.

No. That was "Many Say" that said that. Trump has no original thoughts.

I’ve been trying to explain that all day. It’s not sinking in.

Why should it? I posted an article a few days ago which stated that it's perfectly rational that northern states which had an early first-wave and took out the most vulnerable and the weakest would be less hit by protests now than states which never really had a first-wave until the protests. That didn't "sink in", so I don't really feel the need for further discussion. We in Texas know why we're in a spike and the root causes.

From what kook blog was that?

Newsflash...there's plenty of fresh meat left.

By the way...Milwaukee and Philly and many other areas haven't seen this spike and had big protests...but hey...you were just "saying ****" anyway so...

She needs to blame the huge surge in TX on all the young folk and protesting. She can’t accept that TX f’d up reopening too fast on top of being too arrogant to wear masks.

Your own states data belies that comment since it's young people catching it.

The other half. Hot and humid south versus comfortable northern climate. Just add air conditioned indoor bars, before and after a sweaty protest march and BAM! 20-30 year olds start a wave.

I always thought the "flu" was a winter disease. Did you just make it a summer problem?
Remember Spanky said it would go away when it got warm.

Is June 2nd the only day of protesting in TX? Ha. There have been protests for weeks, on almost a daily basis, in Boston and many other towns in MA.

I chose June 2 because that was the day that over 60,000 people in Houston protested (over 3x the largest crowd in Boston at 17,000). You are correct that the protests were (and still are) daily for weeks. If there had been "a day" of protest, we wouldn't be see such huge spikes.

June 2 Houston (90 degree heat)
