Actually there is no such thing as a 'solar rebate'. Check out www.orer.gov.au Now you know why our tax dollars are just disappearing into thin air. It is because of all the expensive, burgeoning bureaucracies of which the ORER is a perfect example. Australia is slowly being dragged under by the weight of the armies of unproductive, time wasting government paper shufflers. It is almost as if they have been deliberately making any dealings with a government department or authority, as costly, complex and time consuming as possible. Why the fark have they made the STC thing so incredibly difficult and complex? Why even do it? Why doesn't the government just simply provide a straight out grant towards the cost of instaling a PV system on your house?
Gillard and her cronies claim they want to reduce our carbon emmissions. They constantly point their finger at coal burning power stations, so why are they systematicaly reducing government support for the instalation of solar power systems on houses? Something just doesn't add up!!
