It seems Rick Perry is just as fake as every other mainstream politician, dodging a question from a Ron Paul supporter that brings his "fiscal conservatism" into question.

How can you call yourself a fiscal conservative when your state has a $25 billion budget shortfall that exploded under your watch?

 

Texas has a Balanced Budget Amendment and has petitioned the Federal Govt to adopt similar restraints since 1979. Texas' BBA also includes a clause that the state budget cannot grow faster than the state's economic growth. The majority of spending in the last session was due to increased spending for infrastructure to keep up with the population growth.

4)Perry blatantly dodged the question, Texas has a massive deficit that grew under Perry's watch. When confronted about it he dodged the question completely. Face it, he is a typical politician, if he wasn't he would have actually discussed the issue.

Perry may not live and breathe smaller government since few career politicians do.

But Perry voters want smaller government.

Which gives him an edge over Obama whose base depends on government handouts for their daily bread and walking around money.
