Its been going on for months. One individual, giving us every story off the huffingtonpost in a matter of minutes to an hour.

At what point does it become spamming? Every once in awhile....yeah OK. But everyday? Either this is a paid blogger or just a spammer.

I would like to know at what point this becomes considered spamming the board.

    I looked at current events.

Page 1, didn't see anyone who had started more than 2 threads.

Page 2, one liberal idiot-troll has 4 threads, two deleted as spam.

    Page 3, there's a conservative with 4 threads.

    Page 4 ... nuthin' Page 5 ... nuthin' Page 6 .... nuthin'

Sorry, I'm not seeing this supposed spamathon that's been going on for months, not from anyone.

    Report the thread(s) in question.
As there is not a limit as to number of threads created on various issues, or source, we have to take a look at the individual threads.

The spammer in question posts her HuffPo (and others) opinion pieces exclusively in "current events"...If this is permissible, why don't we simply eliminate "political opinions and beliefs"? Don't we have a problem with data capacity?

I agree. I notice that there is an endless diarrhea of threads started by right-wing extremists who have no other intent than to race-bait.
The more rancid ones are crude, blatant racism, while others are the hysterical "the blacks are running amok" type of threads.
In the threads without any liberal input, the usual gang that keep the threads alive make the forum sound like a stormfront site.
    It's a pathetic spectacle.

I understand that the mods are unpaid. One such thread was deleted today and is an example fo the types of threads the OP here is referencing.

A thread was created in the Current Event sections about a comedian who made a joke against Chick Fil A.

HuffPo picked up on that and used it as an opportunity to create more drivel on their site and it was posted here as a Current Event

    thankfully, JP5 deleted the thread

Was it like the continuous stream of regurgitated birther drivel that is constantly reposted and reposted and reposted every time WND runs another article on the same old tired birther pablum?

thankfully those get quickly shoved into the conspiracy section.

The Harry Reid threads about what he heard from a friend of a friend belong in conspiracy as well

Lol! Nice job toddwv. While I don't approve of anyone spamming the forum it cracks me up when certain spam artists complain about other spam artists.

    That's a lie.
I never waste time in the conspiracy section, and I have seen hundreds of birther threads go on for weeks in the current events and political opinion sections.

Same thing in the so-called Latest World News forum where one might think that threads called "Jesus was a muslim" or "A washington out of control" or "Reuters (Rothchild's) claim their news service hacked..." are all deemed world news and not conspiracy BS...laughable.

    .....

When does a fellow member get the right to decide what media outlet another member uses? We are in an election cycle, only three 1/2 months away...why does it seem unlikely that PF would receive many many posts about the liberal view of the republican candidate...when there are literally thousands of posts concerning the Democratic president Barack Obama, ad nauseum weekly since Jamuary 2009?

I have not seen many complaints about the obnoxious, inflammatory, misinformed and widesly discredited links and sites used by republicans.

Any reasonable person would realize that this is the election season, that this is a political forum with everyone gettng the same chance to state their views. If a certain post doesn't follow YOUR beliefs...just don't read it...and move on with your life, but calling it spamming is at your peril, because so many republican oriented propaganda pieces are hard core spam.

I fully realize that you may not adore Huffington Post..a site I use because of the variety of sites HP uses in collecting the very latest news from reliable sources, thoroughly vetted for accuracy, and neutral reporting of breaking news...which is what Political Forum should be all about, wouldn't you agree?

I personally cannot remember one outstanding post of yours, TH, but I think you may remember some of mine, eh?

I know exactly who OP is referring to, and it's an obvious paid blogger for HuffPo. Nearly every single thread is just a copy+pasted HuffPo article with a little bit of commentary as to not get the thread locked down. If I wanted to read HuffPo, I'd go there. As it stands, upwards of a dozen threads a day get started by this person, all based on HuffPo articles.

I enjoy the irony of seeing conservative troll-spammers projecting their religion/way of life on to others. (No need to name names, being such things aren't allowed). If you were to examine the posting history of these conservative troll-spammers, you'd see they have a very limited repertoire.

    1. Calling liberals child molesters.
    2. Declaring liberals don't have jobs.
    3. Declaring that anyone who disagrees with them in any way is secretly a liberal and/or paid poster for HuffPo.
    4. Declaring how American conservatives are the greatest victims to ever exist in all the history of planet earth.
    5. Making up deranged stories about what liberals really believe, so they then can then proclaim all liberals are hypocrites.
    6. Pre-emptively whining, even on threads having nothing to do with race, about how those dirty liberals always call them racists.
    7. Declaring that there's a liberal conspiracy to have blacks murder whites.
    8. Calling liberals racists, and otherwise wearing out that race card.
    9. Squealing like a sissy whenever they get back even a tiny fraction of the crap they fling, and then raging at the mods about how any liberal who dared call them out like that deserves to be banned.
    10. Complaining that the dirty liberals are always trying to get them banned.

The common factor of all the posts from these conservative spammer-trolls is the lack of any content that furthers intelligent discussion. In comparison to them, even the most parrotlike link-spammer looks brilliant. At least the link-spammer adds to the discussion. In contrast, the conservative spammer-trolls exist to only to troll, and they actively seek to sabotage intelligent discussion.

I'm not sure which poster you're talking about but there should be a limit - I'd say maybe 2-3 threads a day - the influx of tons of redundant threads is probably bogging down the servers and causing some of the tech issues we've been having.
