At a time when attention is fixed on North Korea , Indian and Chinese troops are locked in a standoff in the high Himalayas at a dizzying height of 16000 feet . At doklam which is territory disputed between Bhutan and China, China is building a road that will make possible for it to directly bring artillery to bear on the narrow strip of land connecting indian mainland with northeast India. Thus it will be capable of cutting a part of India from it's mainland if the road is made .Indian troops have blocked making of the road and are in a standoff with Chinese soldiers that may lead to war between them . But war is possible only now because winter will close the whole region which will turn extensively snowbound, forcing both armies to withdraw .
