If you read the letter Democrats received yesterday it would clear up your confusion, it's available online for all to see.

Now that your weak impeachment (lol) argument has dried up. The deranged democrats only hope is a silly obstruction charge, good luck with that.

btw, why is Schiff obstructing the country was reading the Trump damning testimonies from last week? It's a bold move for Schiff (who has already been caught lying) to believe the country will take his word on the testimony.

The house sets the rules for the house. They say this is an actual inquiry. Strangely you think the WH gets to decide the rules of the house.

Still a thing called due process.. Never mind Congress for the most part consists of two parties not just one.

Due process happens in the senate, aka the trial. There’s no due process in a grand jury

Taking the Single-party Benghazi investigations as an example(all 10 of them), I don't remember one "House vote" to authorize the investigations or the subpoenas that were issued.

NOW, the trumpettes want to change the rules ?

    FAIL

As I already establish, the House rules require a vote on the floor to open an inquiry, then it goes to the Judical Committee. The way Shifty and Nancy P are behaving is counter to the Rules....moreover they are violating the President's Constitutional righs to Due Prccess..

The letter is damning and damning indictment of the House Dems actions: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/tr...-white-house-says-it-won-t-cooperate-n1064001

Take the vote...Democracy dies in Darkness!

incorrect...read the letter I provided....it cites the case law....Due Process happens in ANY and all Congressional investigations.

It's not suspended simply because the Dems want to create a Star Chamber.

These partisan proceedings are an affront to the Constitution—as they are being held behind closed doors and deny the President the right to call witnesses, to cross-examine witnesses, to have access to evidence, and many other basic rights.

The only thing that letter did was reveal the startling lack of any legitimate legal authority for the Trump White House to engage in their obstruction.

No such rule exists and there is no due process in what is essentially a grand jury

“The impeachment process may be initiated as the result of various actions and events, including the receipt and referral of information from an outside source, investigations by congressional committees under their general authority, or the introduction of articles of impeachment in the form of a House resolution,” says a Congressional Research Service overviewof current House impeachment rules.

It's hard to continue a conversation with you when you're being dishonest about what's going on.

They already control the narrative. Trump has decided to make the obstruction case even stronger. Pelosi can just let that aspect play out a bit longer and then hold the impeachment inquiry vote when her caucus is ready.

Impeachment is basically a grand jury where they indict (impeach) and then it goes to the senate for a trial. The trial is not held in the house so why would the president get to call witnesses?

Yes, and eventually Trumps team will be able to defend him while at that same time Nancy will have to justify her claims legally.
