    This is the study:
    http://publicmind.fdu.edu/2011/knowless/

I found the questions to be very fair. And Fox and MSNBC both scored pathetically low. Proving once again that if you get your news from either source you're not going to be well informed.

If however you get your news from public sources with no obvious agenda like NPR then you are FAR more likely to know your issues.

Most likely because Fox is primarily a news commentary channel with little hard news compared to say, CNN which is mostly hard news.

CNN is NOT hard news ;\

CNN barely scores higher than MSNBC.

No corporate sponsored news is good news. NPR for life!

I agree that NPR is the only source for real news; but on the television side; of all the commercial news entities, CNN has more hard news as opposed to news commentator programs which are common on FOX and MSNBC

I actually think this is the case for most Fox viewers, and it explains something about Fox's lack of actual content and the educational levels of the viewers.

Maybe the fox viewers are just sick of CNN and MSNBC constantly blowing Obama.

I don't watch Fox News. I also don't watch MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, or any of the other members of the re-elect Obama committee.

As pitiful as it is, I prefer print media.

Studies are right up there with polls for reliability. Source, source, source. Wow, a study from Harvard shows...whatever the leftist want.

And the sensible response to this is to use an array of blonds to present lies and idiotic opinion... Yeah, I see that.

I been saying that about Foxx for years ,,, ever since GB boiled a frog ,,, and it's been a 3 year NO Party of NO monolouge ,,,[IMG] anyone that's watched Foxx News knows that's it's a strictly anti-Obama network ,,, although I will say I have always greatly respected Bill O'riely , he's a good man ... Papa Bear for POTUS ... Shep for VP ...

I just find it dis-heartening to the Republican Party that the radio antics of Rush Limbaugh are causing them such embarrassment .. especially among military families over his remarks Monday on his nationally aired radio show...

"We have to pass the bill to see what's in it." <-- ring a bell?

Fox may be the winner in bias nonsense but the left part of government is the ruler of "idiotic things I've said" department and that worries me more than fox news could ever.

What is ironic is that most liberals undoubtedly watch Fox News as well just so they can have something to whine and complain about in their "study" columns like this on Monday morning. Little do they know that watching Fox News increases their ratings, so all they're doing is helping out the enemy. They did this with Sarah Palin, too.

Liberals. So dumb that they'll never learn. They breed their own insanity by doing the same thing over and over again expecting things to change the next time around as well. :-D

Actually I think the definition of irony is those who harp
about George Soros but then bend over at any chance to suck off Murdoch in exchange for spoon fed propaganda.

    no spending cuts in sight

And you guys are worried about what fox news viewers know.

I have to disagree with you on that. NPR is biased to the Left. Their parent company has almost lost funding because of it.

I usually flip over to MSNBC during commercials while I'm watching the news on Fox and it always amazes me how biased they are. Rachel Maddows can spend 30 minutes talking about something Fox News spent 30 seconds on. They're like a dog with a bone... just can't let go of anything 'juicy' to move on to something else. Guess it takes time to hammer propaganda into lefties' heads.

Not even slightly!!! You guys need to stop following along the path you are herded down so willingly, and begin to think critically!! As I already asked, more than once, and have still not received an answer. What incentives do corporate media outlets have to promote a left-wing agenda!! What has you guys confused, is the fact that MSNBC plays the part in the puppet show, of the shill for the Democratic party. There is no doubt they do that. What they DO NOT DO is promote a left-wing agenda. The Democratic party is about as left-wing, as the Republican party is fiscally conservative!!

So you think the shareholders of GE, Disney, Viacom, Time Warner, etc are willing to throw profit margins out the window for the purpose of "destroying free speech and the constitution." Seriously just think about that for a moment!! It is insane nonsense. I understand why you are so hesitant to accept this idea, which is so logically sound. Even though logically it is undeniable, viscerally it is hard to swallow. Similarly it goes against the lies the corporate media propaganda machine feeds to people on a daily basis. We are told there is a left-wing media, and then Fox News to balance it out. Well, that is of course nonsense. We have only a corporate media, whose only agenda is profit making. Both parties are in the pockets of large corporations, so therefore there is no disincentive to act as an advocate for either of those parties. What they would NEVER do however, is act as an advocate for a left-wing agenda!!
