Here's a really great story on overcoming vaccine hesitancy among Trump supporters:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2021/03/15/vaccine-hesitant-republicans-focus-group/

In the focus groups discussed here, it was clear that anything from government was pretty much rejected out of hand, simply based on the source.

However, these individuals were not unwilling to receive information concerning the vaccines and allow that to change their mind.

In general, their level of information about COVID and the vaccines had some pretty big holes. But, these Trump followers didn't reject actual data out of hand, nor were they close minded in their decision making process.

They weren't aware that the vaccines were based on years of serious work - not just quick knock offs. They weren't aware of the size and seriousness of the studies. They weren't aware that out of 100M recipients nobody has died of the vaccines, and none of those 100M has died of COVID - perfect records! Etc.

Also, they're pretty receptive to listening to doctors.

Maybe we just haven't yet figured out how to talk to these Trump folks!
