Over the last 14 years there has been a suspicious series of drownings in the Northern part of Minnesota. Young men between the ages of 16 to 22 have simply disappeared, their bodies often turning up in rivers. In most of these cases it is difficult to determine whether the deaths were accidental or were a result of murder. Could all these deaths just be a coincidence, or is there a serial killer? The owner of this site thinks there is a serial killer on the loose, and is frustrated at police for not taking this possibility more seriously and investigating: http://vanceholmes.com/court/trial_missing.html Some of these deaths have also happened in the nearby part of Wisconsin. College guys in this area do drink a lot of alcohol, and there are a lot of lakes and rivers in this region of the country, which is probably why police have been so quick to write the deaths off as accidental. It is a little unsettling though.
This has been going on for quite a while and the pattern suggests the work of a serial killer. As usual, police cannot be troubled to do the proper investigative work to stop this horror and the news media is too readily dismissive. While it is true that the media have reported some of these events, they fail to note the similarity of the patterns involved. .... I forgot to add that we had similar losses here in the Twin Cities starting about that same time so that it occurred both up North and around here. These involved young men who were perfectly healthy and vigorous who just suddenly disappeared and are later found dead.
Have there been any bodies found in the area that do not fit that profile? I spent my vacation last summer up in the Boundary Waters area.
