Why should the West/Russia interfere (again) with middle eastern warfare?

If we do one side or another will blame us for one thing or another and lash out with violent retribution. There is no incentive to play good cop anywhere over there.....we tried and everyone hates us for it (not that they liked us before).

It is difficult to say the U.S. is planning an attack on Syria or not, but what Assad has already won a moral victory it's for sure.

I think the more relevant question is "who cares?". Let the Syrians figure out their own mess.

We can see wonderful things in some Russian regions and the sunny North Caucasus is not the exception.
They even made this funny social advertisement>

The young man commited crime but his family gave bribe and he escaped penalty or got a suspended sentence. Then hired assassin got him. But he would still be alive in prison (the key phrase of this video)

Probably not, but I don't think the relevant question in what my actions should be is "What do the Saudis want?" - theirs is a poor example to follow.

I have no desire to spend money on the Syrian Civil War. They're going through some tough times at the moment, I'm sure the Syrians are capable of deciding what emerges out of the rubble without my picking of winners and losers.

Given the current political situation between the U.S. and Russia...a joint effort is not in any way likely. Thus, we just sit back and fret while these people kill each other in much the same way they have for about 2000 yrs.

Until THEY figure out how to get along....no one else can fix it.

If we back anything remotely Suni...Shiates will hate us even more.

There is no possible way to be a good guy....so why bother even trying.

I have another opinion + the analogous episodes took place in real life. Looks like a pretty good satire.
