DC - I've worked in Saudi (total 4.5 yrs) The first lesson I learnt was defensive driving. I would'nt recommend any female members of my family or any woman to drive there. You'd see safer driving at a fair ground Dodgems.or drag / stock car racing track., especially out of town. Driving is a macho-thing, not recommended for women. .- Road etiquette is unlike anywhere else in the world. ..



Any car not getting away fast enough at traffic lights gets bumped if the vehicle behind him happen to be a pick-up or similar with bull bars. (LOL )
They'v got special traffic accident gaols, no place for a woman, I've been in one , stayed to abt 6 hours , until my saudi sponsor , got me out . . Whoever is considered ( by duty police officer ) responsible for the accident is promptly , locked up, untill payment of damage is paid. Vehicles + drivers are not always insured
